Oil Starvation--Need solutions

*subscribing to thread*
I would also like to see a baffled oil pan.
call me dumb but what exactly is a dry sump and how exactly does it work? I hear about it all the time and realize it is only really needed for the more high end tuner but I don't really know much about it.

Whats the word on the moroso unit? Did they have a mold fabbed out or did it never make it to that status?

If they did have one fabbed is there a way we could get ahold of that with a GB or something? Its a stretch, but I drive hard and would definately buy up for some protection on my engine.

moroso unit is in fact available..due to lack of intrest it was never put into full production..i'm going to call again tomorrow and find out if we are able to start a GB..a real GB..not one of those dragged out 2 month GB's..i mean, 1-1.5 weeks, who wants one, gets in on it...kosher with everyone?

400-500$..depending..maybe i can charm some sweetheart into flipping me them for less...guy..girl..i can charm anybody..moroso orginally said 400$..but if i end up with the MSP motor in my car, which is looking more and more likely everyday..I need to make sure it's compatible for all the proteges..This will be a one time deal most likely, so I'm going to try my damndest to do this right and hopefully solve this problem for us..

Quite interested. I plan on taking my car to the track (read: turns not 1/4 mile) and I autocross, so it seems like this would be something I should consider. Good luck, Kyle.

Mine lost a bearing, Mazda covered it. I was had been thinking about a baffled pan. I never really noticed too many N/A cars dying on the track though. I do drive the crap out of my car but had never raced it when the motor died.

I have also contacted Mirko Racing to see if they want/can make a windage tray and/or a custom oilpan for the FS-DE. Will see what they say.
