either go to mazda dealership and buy the oem one. Or you can go to any wal-mart and for 6 bucks get the motorcraft #2017b....its the same thing. This is what I use. Though I do plan to get the oil conversion kit soon so ican run the spin on filters.
I would not recommend the Motorcraft filter. I've used 2 of them so far and within the 3000 miles I change my oil, both of them were collapsed when I took them out. I'm sure the filtering ability is probably not compromised, but it makes me somewhat nervous nonetheless.
After those two incidents, I changed over to the Napa Gold filter. I've changed one of them already (I'm on my 2nd one) and it stood up perfectly well.
Has anyone tried the FRAM filter?
here you go, you won't find a better deal than this on oem...link>>>http://www.mazdaparts.org/genuine-mazda-oilfilter.html by the way I do all my own oil changes and the cartridge takes no more time than the spin on would.
