Is the clearance decent with that?aMaff said:Yeah, I always ask for a 626 V6 filter. Not only more capacity, but more filter surface area![]()
It's the same for 2002 626 V6, the Bosch part number is 3323. The exact same filter also fits late years of Probe GT (V6). (stash)i12drivemyMP5 said:2000. The exact purolator number for P5 is 14612 & the larger filter for the 626 is 14610.
I use the filter wrench to initially break it free but is never a hassle. I only hand tighten putting it on. Do you rub a little oil on the seal to moisten before tightening?mymp5 said:do you all have a problem takeing off the oil filter when i change it i put oil on the seal, and i hand tighten it but 3k later it takes a hand of god to take the damn filter off
That's friggen weird. With OEM filters? Even when I forget to put oil on the seal I can get it off by hand. Tough, yeah, but definitely doable. I have an oil filter wrench for our filters but you can't actually get it up in there with my socket wrench attached to it. I've never really needed to use it anyway.mymp5 said:even with a oil filter wrench it still takes a hand of god
Freeridin' Al said:I had never really considered a K&N oil filter. I only knew of them really for air filters...
How are they for oil? Is it worth my while to pick one up?
Protegebuddy said:I use Mobil 1 and a valvoline filter and change it every 2500. I beat the hell outta my car though.
