Hey you got a good pic of the blown up section of the pallace. I did a lot of work there but for some reason I didn't take a good picture of that section. The chandalier in the main hall there was the size of a house.
I don't have a host so I'll only put a couple. This is myself and my buddy and me sitting in Saddams thrown. It looked way better before the looters took all the ornate s*** off.

Great pics, dude!! I have quite a few friends in the Marine Corps (feild artillery, infantry, etc....), but as far as i know, none went over (yet). Keep up the good work, and God Bless.........
All my inside pics are so dark because I am not camera litterate. I was in there about 3 days after we took the pallace and the city so it was all nasty and had no water power or anything like that. The utilities bridge and building across the lake got friggin owned. Heres a pic of the pallace and you can see in the left part of the pic the bridge I am talking about.
Alright one more. This is a one of a million pictures of the s*** stick that are all over the place. The reason I like it is what is written on the bottom of the merial, its a classic.
awesome pics guys. my friend showed me her pics from iraq before the invasion, when things were REALLY CRAZY. i'm glad you all made it back to show these pictures. kinda goes to show the hypocricy of saddam... blaming his people's problems on sanctions while he lives in wealth and splendor. what a fucktard. glad we're rid of him. hope we can get rid of the terrorists soon so our men and women can come home.
i don't think this is glorifying war. i think this shows the every day of war. the news agencies that we get images from (trust me, i was a photojournalist) glorify the horrors of war. pics of the troops by the troops gives us a much more accurate depiction of what goes on. sure, we don't see pics of blown up body parts here... we see enough of that through the wire services, where images like that is what sells newspapers. what we are seeing here is the other side of the story. somewhere in the middle is the gray area... the real truths behind what is going on.
i'm still waiting for a legitimate independent photographer who is not bound by his or her editor to go in to iraq to do a human interest story on the effects of pre-war situations and post-war situations for the average iraqi. but even then, the images we see will be what the photographer wants us to see.... there is no such thing as unbiased photography. pictures do lie, contrary to what people might think.
