Official Exhaust Photo & Sound Thread

Any Mazdaspeed3's with the Mazdaspeed3 exhaust? If so do you have a sound clip? Thanks in advance...

Unfortunately, I have seen this clip and I do appreciate you looking out, but the 2.3 turbo will certainly sound different that's why I want to hear the Mazdaspeed3 exhaust on the MS3. Thanks again. (drinks)

Has Anyone Tried Running Open Exhaust From The Down Pipe After The Second Cat On Mazdaspeed 3
I Have And It Sounds Bad Ass And The Turbo Spools So Much Faster , Just Wondering If Anyone Has Done This Besides Me

Why? Were you just messing around or are you planning on something? I had the side exhaust on my SRT-4 and depending were you lived it was borderline illegal not to mention LOUD as heck and shot flames out.

Yeah. I love my Vibrant too. Not too loud. Just loud enough and it speaks w/authority. I only wish that for the money they offered a better (double walled) tip!!

Nice!! I think they are the only ones making a 4-2-1 header. Perfect for the street. Good low end through upper mid range power should be achieved w/that set up.
I don't have a header, but as with any of them I'm sure the sound level will increase a bit. And it's hard to avoid that metallic rapping sound from the thinner steel vs. the cast iron stocker too. Cast is a much better insulator than steel.
If that's a problem, and in your case it probably isn't, you could wrap it before you install? That should quiet it down a bit. You may find having that sound in front of you all the time gets annoying... or not?
I haven't decided whether spending the $$$ on a header is worth it to me in my situation. But if I did, I'd definitely look to Vibrant for it. Nice stuff!!
I have their front upper strut bar installed too.

Nice! yeah I dont want it to be louder...I like how it is now....really not too loud until you get on it. I don't know where you are in Texas...but are you going to HIN in dallas

just replacing the muffler....

.......everyone is having their sides on what exhaust system, how far back, how wide the piping, mandrel pipe bending.....on the 2007 mazdaspeed 3's

how about just changing that rear muffler.......

since the performance of the exhaust system is descent enough......what would you think if, i just replaced my rear stock muffler with an aftermarket one, like for example, an n1 or similar to that.......i love the exhaust system, but i miss that deep tone in an exhaust system.....

anyone would agree with this......

would the performance still be there, and will there be a deeper tone?

any advice, would be helpful.........

thanks...

Hey guys. I'm closing the deal on a Mazdaspeed 3 right now. I was wondering if you guys could tell me where I can go get a better exhaust system and some good rims. I'm pretty new to the owning a nice car thing, I just got a job and a bonus Im using to buy this guy. Does anyone know any specialists in the boston area where I can go?

I have the Corksport, you can hear it above.

Also try CP-E and Mazdaspeed(Ron Tonkin) they all vendors here

hey thanks a lot, man. Ill look into those. What other modifications have you made? Im really excited about gettin under the hood o' this guy, I just dont know where to start. That being said, Im not gonna do anything stupid and ruin a perfectly good car.

Should have taken one from farther back but......

Sounds Great! If you didn't know any better, one could mistake it's sound for a Subaru. Also was that your car used on the dyno run? If so what where the numbers with the exhaust and downpipe? Corksport only lists the gains from the cat-back exhaust and the dyno run is just that, showing the dyno run; no numbers given.

Yea, I got a few compliments from the Evo and STI guys I run around with here, on the exhaust, and I like it so...
I believe CS doesn't want to post, I maybe wrong, the graphs until another dyno session for something else. Yes it is my car in the dyno.
I should have done an in car clip but I forgot. With the radio on 8 (Bose system in GT) I can barely hear the exhaust while cruising at 2500 - 2800 RPMs, windows up.

hey, tomorrow im planning almost the same thing.......but from the 2nd catback to open up to a 3" pipe, 1 resonator, then close into a 2 1/2 tailpipe with the stock chrome tip......

and from the guy whos doing it.....says it should gain a lil more hidden horsepower, and a much more deeper sound.......stay tuned for a video....

ill probably have one by this weekend........

so far i got an HKS blowoff valve, and a Mazdaspeed Cold Air Intake.......

hopefully the Sound of the whole car will sound and run like one crazy screaming b**** Machine! (alright)
