Looks like the taillights are a similar concept to the non-NA Mazda 6. We'll likely hear the "Sebring-esque" comments in the near future.

I personally think it looks badass. Has that little chin spoiler at the leading edge of the front fascia...and the headlamps stretch almost to the side mirrors. Can't wait to see it in different colors.

Well the website was messed up when I was looking at them but I saw three pictures and it's a good looking car, if it has a trunk release on the key fob I'm tradding my '07 in.

Thanks for the heads-up wongpres! All the news/rumor sites were guessing a summer 09 release date but I don't think my current car will last that long Winter of 09 is definitely a more realistic goal for stretching my Celica's lifespan.

If they are releasing it in early 09, the only options are LA or Detroit. Possibly Chicago, but that one rarely gets any debuts.

And it's almost guaranteed that it will show up at an Auto show before it's at the dealers.

I guess it could be Detroit since it's going to be held in mid January but wouldn't that be cutting it a bit close to when they should be hitting the dealerships (assuming wongprez is correct).

The latest I read on some forum like this was that sedan is unveiling at LA and hatch is unveiling at Detroit. But I have no experience with either that source or wongprez to give any sort of certainty to either.

The auto show site will usually list the cars that are being revealed sometime well in advance of the show. The site isn't up yet except for the dates, but in about a month I bet we start to see some information on it.

Well, I joined these forums about 6 years ago (right before wongprez joined) and his info has always been spot-on in my experience. I scour the net religiously for new car info and his posts are usually the first place new mazda model information hits the internet.
