An Accord EX-L V6 without the nav system starts at $28,060 by comparison.
A Camry XLE V6 is $30,670.
I know, that's what I'm saying!!! Car prices are getting ridiculous these days!! (eyeballs)
Yeah, but they're not way off the charts with their pricing. They fit right into the market.
that sucks. Is that 2.5L going into the new 3 also? If so, that sucks. They said 20-30 hp more. Not 14. Brutal, absolutely brutal.
What market is that? Half the people I know of can't afford the monthly for a 30k+ car![]()
And used sixesThat's why there are Mazda 6's for $20k.
170 HP makes the Mazda 3 most powerful and probably the fastest in its class.
eh, I will look elsewhere if that is the case.
LOL!!!!
Hilarious!!!
Is it? How? I miss the kicker or something.
You are concerned with speed. Mazda builds the fastest car in the class, but that's not good enough for you? I admit I'm a little disappointed that there isn't 180 or 190 HP, but at 170 HP it makes the 3 the fastest and best handling car in its class. Somehow that angers you? Mazda is probably not wanting to raise the bar too high all at once, more power may come down the line somewhere. I also heard there will be gas mileage increases in the new model as well. Maybe their mileage objectives couldn't be met with more power.
I'll wait until more info is available before passing judgement.

yeah and those people don't want a puny little 170hp engine trying to propel their 4000 lb car![]()

exactly exactly. that is where I am trying to go with this. really who the hell would want to drive a new 6 with that engine?
I think, with a stick, the 2.3 would be completely liveable, especially given the fuel economy trade-off for the V6. Not everyone on the market is an enthusiast, which is why the Camry sells so well...
a decorated turd is still a turdthe one that looks like this
