Official 2009 USDM Mazda6 thread

To each his own...I do like the first one better. The red interior is best suited for BMW and Porsches I think. I hope Mazda makes this a reality. i would so trade in my car for the Mazdaspeed version. Hottness

I really like both 6s but the black one is my nice style. I think Nissan has a red leather option on some of their cars. I could be thinking of the copper interior in the 350z and Murano.

you know what would be awesome? if they brought the smaller JDM body (as in those pics) over as a MS version (w/manual of course)! then I'd get over the bloatification of the USDM sedan and lack of manual on the v6

That would be way too ridiculously expensive to certify with the EPA and NHTSA for a low-volume car.

in that case, I guess we'll see what the ocean liner looks like with MS treatment

Nope. Doesn't look like we're getting that either. They've said it would be too expensive to develop a separate MS version of the 6 for North America only as well. We're stuck with sedan, 4-cyl AT or MT, or 6-cyl AT. No mas.

That's what they want you to think. =)
You could be right though since the last MS6 didn't as sell well as hoped.

Mikeyb I love you for posting those pictures man, I had NOT seen them before... HOTNESS!!!

I will have to say I do like the first one better... But I like parts of both, I like the interior of the first one better, it's not that I don't like the red on the 2nd one, but I like the sport seats with the high side bolsters for cornering, something I wish my current speed had.

I also like the rear spoiler and the wheels on the first one better, but I do like the body kit on the 2nd one best.

Maybe a mix of both... because I've noticed the first one says "MAZDASPEED" concept, and the 2nd one doesn't.

Oh and I'd keep my current speed6 since I'd have it paid off, and just buy this one, if this was TT v6, it would just be my daily and I could mod the crap out of the 1st gen speed6.

Oh and it better come with 6 speed manual cause I do not want a damn manu-matic/triptronic crap ONLY, I want to be able to get mine in manual. I think the car should only come in manual, so if someone really wants this car they can learn stick.... instead of the few posers out there who would just buy this car to be "fast" but never have to use manual :( Exclusivity is such a nice thing (2thumbs)

I like this alittle better. Delete the red leather steering wheel.

That's it, I was wondering what was missing on the USDM. It's nice but still too plain, once it gets its OEM subtle and non-ricey body kit it will be even nicer

I wish I could afford to buy a prototype off Mazda... HAHA

I guarantee driving that around, Mazda would garner a lot of interest from people.

I wouldn't ever want to own one of them... I can only imagine how beat up they get.

Hey I'm talking about owning one in terms of Mazda giving it to you as a uh "promo" car to drive around for a while and garner interest. It would be obvious that the car would be repaired by mazda ;)

I'd have fun with it.... *WOOOOOOOOSH* "WTF WAS THAT?!"

*at the next stop light*

"Wow I've never seen THAT mazdaspeed6 before"

*dude goes online sees 2009 "concept" model for MS6 with equipted TT v6*

OH YEAH!!! LOL Hey I can dream people!!!!! (fuoops)

It's a good dream...something along the lines of how I get vehicles...(first)

We've definitely turned alot of heads with some of the cars...good times.

$30k for a top of the line v6 huh? Geez that seems a little steep (ugh)

Thanks for posting the pricing info, it's interesting to know.

that sucks. Is that 2.5L going into the new 3 also? If so, that sucks. They said 20-30 hp more. Not 14. Brutal, absolutely brutal.

An Accord EX-L V6 without the nav system starts at $28,060 by comparison.
A Camry XLE V6 is $30,670.
