Official 2009 USDM Mazda6 thread

First sighting at the dealer...

Passed by the dealer today and they caught my eye somewhere in the back of the lot. They are not ready yet, but managed to take some pics..., nothing special that has not been discussed here, just that they look big compared to the 08 ones...

The first one (silver gray) is an "s". The white and galaxy gray are "i", I4 (check the exhaust tips and the 17in wheels on the white one)

Passed by my local dealer last night, they had 5 on the lot. 3 V6, 2 4 cyl, all with 17 or 18 inch wheels on them.

Why does this new 6 rub me the wrong way? I just don't get it. For all intents and purposes, it addresses the gripes with the old 6, bigger motor, sharp handling. I wish it didn't have to get bigger, but I'm just not really excited for it. Maybe the Mazdaspeed will stoke the fire?

Interesting, that last one has steel wheels. Alloy's are standard in Canada.

Yup, I recalled that comment, so I was like (scratch), but you know the weird stuff in trims between Canada and the US, like the Mazda5 availability of 16in on the CAN GS but not in the US Sport or the lack of CAN Grand Touring, yet you can get a CAN GT with all the Grand Touring toys AND with Manual Tranny (rant)

Son of a b****! If I could get that, I wouldn't even be debating what to buy next. I guess I could just buy a Canadian one, register it in my wife's name at her parents' house, and drive it though.

Stopped into my local Mazda dealership. All they had out on the lot was a 4-cyl auto Sport model. They have 5 more in, but they were getting detailed and inspected. I'm going to try to get in to drive a V6 tomorrow, and the guy's going to call me when they get a 4-cyl with a stick in stock.

In person, even the base model looks pretty good. I like it a lot.

I was really mad when I saw the European model when I was in England. It is so much nicer than this bloated sow we're getting.

Towson mazda in MD has 3 09 6's. 2 Performance white ones and one black cherry sport model

They also have a brand new 2007 MAZDASPEED6 on the lot . Its been reduced in price by about 3K

I'm sure if you talked to them they'd knock another $5-6k off that number.

I just saw a comercial for the new 2009 Maxima. Damn! that is a hot car, looks like a 4 door skyline. I realize that Maxima has tried to move more upscale and that the Altima is their true competitor to the 6, but the new Maxima is total HOT!
