Well at least you don't get blasted with snow as bad as we do here especially along the snow belt, which I have to pass everyday, I really should learn how to snowboard this year, might make winter more bareable. And I hate the gear ratio on the speed, in first gear I can only get up to about 25mph max, that sucks, cobalts, vettes are pushing way over that, vettes being 60mph, talk about extended clutch life, hell I wouldn't have to shift 4 times just to hit 50mph without going above 3k rpm, my clutch is getting *****, freakin blows is what I think,but still love my speed (at least we got wot shifting available to compensate for all the bs close ratio shifting)

Yeah there isn't as much snow down here as regularly. However the past two years I've been down here we've had a couple 20 inch snowfalls.

Heh... you wanna talk close ratio, check out the gear ratios on the Mazdaspeed Miata. Winding it out to redline each shift, I have to get into 3rd gear to hit 60. At the drag strip, I realized that I hit 100 shortly after I shift into 5th.

yeah that can't be good for engine vitality, even though Japanese car engines r designed to spin at high rpms still, it worries me when I see the temp at my cat. sensor is reading 1600+ Fahrenheit, I mean imagine the heat generated inside the cylinders, especially when pushing 6000rpm, or even higher on formula 1 engines 10,000 plus.

Keep in mind that the BP motor in the Miata deals with high RPM much better than the MZR. My rev limiter is currently set at 7750.

my sensors at the catalytic converters, theres' two of them, I read temp changes from there and inside the engine simultaneously

I was kidding. My car doesn't have a cat. Even if it did, it would just plug it up because it runs so rich. Emissions systems be damned!

Hey guys, the weather's looking pretty crapy for saturday but 0% precipitation predicted for sunday, still wanna keep it saturday?????

Crappy weather = good beer drinking weather. Haha.

There is an Auto-X on Sunday so some people may not be able to make it if it were on Sunday until after the event, which would probably be around 4 or so.

My vote is to keep it Saturday because I have things going on Sunday, but let's see what the others say.

Due to previous experiences I won't drive the Speed in the rain anymore. Not trying to test my luck. It really is too early to tell if it will be raining Saturday or not. sometimes I find that weather tends to come earlier than predicted so hopefully the rain will come Friday and dry up for Saturday.
