Not Bad #'s for few mods....

Was helping tune out some kinks with my friends Evo today on a Mustang Dyno which put down 405hp-396tq on 22psi ( that thing is nasty) anyways...after about 3 hours worth of tuning and pulls with his I put my MS6 on there. I did the first 2 pulls in 3rd and the last in 4th... Here's what I got

Mods: AEM CAI..Custom 3" Borla Exhaust

1) 269 HP - 307tq
2) 260 HP - 303tq
3) 250 HP - 290tq

Charts coming when i can scan...

Good #'s with your mods. Those torque numbers are what really impresses me though. Gives a good idea what the ms3 will be able to pull with similar mods.
 
have you had any track time with your speed6

i was curious as to what people are getting in the 1/4 mile with a novice driver and your mods. any ideas? my buddy has a 350z with CAI and a muffler and i was wondering if calling him out might be a bad idea. thanx

I havent got a chance to take it to the track yet. I would guess mid to low 13's. As for calling your buddy out....I would ! Im guessing it would be close but thats just my 2 cents.

that should do the trick. i havent seen his car in the 13's yet for lack of traction. are they running the speed6 in the 13's from the factory no-mods just fuel?
also have you tried dyno-ing with just a down pipe no eghaust?

i bought this car for my chic, but find myself having so much fun driving it that she ends up using my truck alot. my buddy with the Z keeps busting my nutz, so i have been teaching my girl how to do hole shots so she can run him on the 16th at the track. he will probably sell his car if he loses to her.. LOL

my exhaust isnt turbo-back....i just took the cat. off and 3 inched it all the way back to 2 borla mufflers...but there is a guy on here that did do 13.7 stock
 
I dont think low 13s or even mid 13s......When you run your car at the track youll see....I got 13.8s with the a turbo back and Cpe Intake (and belive me I can drive). If you run a 13.7 with those mods youll be lucky.....Nobody has surpassed the 13.7 mark and proved it with a time slip yet. The average is 14.2-13.7.....
 
Dude I did a 13.8 in a GT with intake and maybe cat back i don't remember. You just have to get a good launch. Then ride it out till the boost drops and shift. 13.7 people ride 4th out 13.8 people shift to 5th normaly.
 
See I tried to ride 4th out and couldnt break the 14.0 mark...then I started to shift into 5th and bam...! 13.8s all day long.

Mustang dynos post the highest numbers of all dynos.
 
Shouldnt dyno pulls be done in 5th? as it's the closest gear to a 1:1 ratio? (i just saw 1.085:1 on supercars.net). numbers would probably be a few hp/tq lower when done in 5th i guess

Mustang dynos post the lowest numbers of any dyno actually. I will agree 250whp seems awful high for a speed 6 without a tune. Maybe the correction factors were way off.

For comparison my 2000 trans am (A4) dyno'd 299whp on a mustang dyno and then layed down a 12.8@111mph at the local track. on a dynojet typical LS1 f-body with bolt ons will see 320-335whp instead of 299.

I didnt get it dyno'd when it was stock, but i did a 13.4@105.9 at the same track with similar weather conditions.
