Nose replacement

Hello

I recently had the lower air dam and the nose of my Pro5 mangled by road debris (busted mesh grille, damaged supports, blah blah blah). I need a cheap replacement and would prefer to replace the nose with a different design.

Does the nose from a Protege LX/ES fit the Pro5 with no modifications?

Thanks!

the LX/ES bumper uses a different/smaller bumper reinforcment than the protege5 does.

i sell replacement front bumpers for $199 plus shipping if interested

So it wouldn't just bolt right up? How much modification would have to be made to get one of those to fit?

I'll keep you in mind for the new nose.

you would need a new front reinforcement from mazda and then the front bumper from an ES/LX. easily looking at $400+

Why would you want a sedan bumper? They're very boring IMO compared to the P5/MSP/MP3 bumper. If you want a new one, your only options besides the normal sedan are the wings west (slightly different) Erbuni, or mint blue bumper. Or you could just get an MSP or Auto exe replica lip.

Just to be different. I don't need the fog lights. The LX/ES bumpers are more streamlined and I'm playing around with removing the rear win/spoiler thingy anyway. It might look interesting smoothed out. I dunno, I'm just thinking out loud, online.

I'm also trying to spend as little as possible, since my insurance deductible is high enough that I'd have to pay for all the nose stuff anyway.

I juust threw up in my mouth.
Poor p5, looks like it was a guy who went to a cross dressing theme party, but in reality it was his friends playing a joke on him and tellin him that so he showed up in a skirt, and felt really gay. (I thought it was funny, my buddy was real pissed) same sort of feeling I got when I saw that p5, just not right

Want to see what it looks like? This guy did it, then decided to get rid of it. I would just get OEM, looks sweet. an MSP front bumper would eliminate those ugly orange reflectors in the bumper, too.

It is the kind of thing a crappy dealer would just slap paint on and sell it with a "custom" front end.

go to www.half-fastracing.com and look at mine i put a msp front end on mine and took the reinforcment out and it looks alot better with out the lower grill mesh and thoughs stupid yelow lights (to redundent). oh yeah and i realy dont drive it on the street so i dont care about the safty aspect. (cheers)

i think the p5 reinforcement bar will fit fine. when i had my first mp3 bumper on my lx, the lx rebar was too long and i had to cut off the sides to get it to fit perfectly. so i think the mp3/msp/p5 rebar will work with the lx bumper.

That's a pretty trick Pro5 you've got.

I managed to shove my nose back into place. It now sits straight and flush with the rest of the car, for the time being. My lower grille looks like yours. I broke off the remaining mesh and have what looks like a gaping hole down there. It's less noticeable on your car I believe because it's dark blue. My car's white, so it looks a little funny.

I would bolt up an MSP (the fog light free version) front end, but that costs money. I don't have any.

Anyone know if the lower mesh grille is sold separately?
