NOOB question :-D

i just got my MSP3 a few month ago...
well, right now i have the HKS SRI, turbosmart BOV, and custom made magnaflow exhaust (cat, and resonators deleted, sound SICKKKK)
well my question is: i've read lots threads about the AP thingy.. and i have no clue what the hell is it? and how does it work?....
can you guy be kind and explain to me.... and should i get one or not?
thank you

basically you need it or you will cause damage to your car. Also from what I've read in the forums, keep an eye cause your turbo might start smoking because of your exhaust.

Hmmm You won't cause damage to your car if you don't get an AccessPort. One could argue the reverse of that but we will leave that out of it.

Also the stock cat-back exhaust is pretty good in the free flowing department, so getting a different one won't hurt the turbo seals since its not freeing up a ton of back pressure.

Replacing the downpipe is where you would worry about the turbo seals.

not getting an AP will not cause damage to your car. there are safe ways of modding without any kinda tuning. if anything, you have a higher chance of doing damage with an AP if your not using it properly. uploading a map to your car with an AP isnt exactly a legitiment way of tuning your car.

An AP is a type of method to tuning. It's a relatively cheap and easy very safe way. With it you get base maps according to your mods and the AP will give u the map you select. There lower hp number maps generally but are the safest way to go. Say u have intake and full tbe.. Then you select the map for that setup. It plugs to you ecu. Dl's the map to you ecu and your on your way.. It's practically a diy type of tuning.
