Is anyone elses MP3 noisy inside the cab? I'm not talking exhaust or engine noise. But more so road noise, like from the wheels on the road maybe. Just curious as to if anyone else notices this.

I have 40 series tires on mine and don't know if that is making it so noisy.

tire choice makes a big difference... look for reviews, or get tires with smaller tread blocks to reduce noise... personally I live my Toyo Proxe 4's

Falken Azenis St-115's are particularly quiet compared to the stock dunlops that are the only one's I can compare them to. (55k and only my second set of tires)

welcome to your mp3! great car! great noises! clunk squeeak clunk boom squeak clunk boom.

Thanks all. I've never had tires this low of profile so this type of noise was pretty unfamiliar. Glad to hear it is not just me.

yeah just keep the radio up. up runnin on 225/35/18 so mines hella loud on the freeway but whatever.

When i got mine it had Yokohama Parada's on it. I drove it 45 min out to Lansing the other day and the only road noise was the wind from going 90 mph. (lol)

Yea! I was about to asking the same thing. I'm using toyo Froxes 4 as well, but I realise that it is more noisy than my old Yokohama AVS100 or the stock Dunlop SP9000.

I thought it's only me..

Btw the way, I'm still using the stock size which is 205/45/17

Well, come to find out it looks as though I'm going to have to have either the front right bearings replaced or the axle, or both. I'm sure this isn't going to be cheap.

As of right now I'm getting the right front bearing replaced in the hub. $220.00 Yikes.

Anyone else have this problem? I only have 53k on the car.

its the bearing for sure i just changed mine i got it done for 300 for both.. but thats because my uncle owns the shop

depends on the tires and alignment, i remember how loud the road noise was when i first changed my control arm, and the alignment was all ****** up.

I replaced both of my front wheel bearings a few weeks ago for $120.

Granted, I did the work myself and had to have a shop press out the old bearings and press in the new ones for $40.

I spent $80 for both the bearings, and $40 for the press work, and 3 hours of my time.

I know I'm going to have to replace the left before to long, I'll be doing that myself and have the bearing pressed at a shop. Save a good $100 at least.

what kind of noise did you get from your car when u had the bad control arm? also wat kind of noise does it make when you have a bad wheel bearing... mine makes a ticking noise when i take a right or left turn hard or slow... but when i go straight for about 3 seconds the sound goes away.... idk if thats a bad wheel bearing or osmething but i need to check it out.

Mine is fairly noisy with my 205/45 Yokohama Parada's. Compared to my old car with 2 busted ball joints its perfect.

i dont think thats your wheel bearing. thats probably just your bushings. i had the same thing. when i was making a right turn you could here a ticking kind of noise but when u straightened out it would stop. if u still have ur warranty the dealer should be able to fix that with no problem. if it was your wheel bearing going, when your driving straight youd here a loud rumbling noise coming from your wheels, definetly easy to notice.
