nikole is $1000 behind on hers. 33000 miles and the car has two pages of warranty repairs, was within a hair of lemon law, idles rough, transmission shifts hard, car shuts itself off at will, has been through two stereos and was not even completely assembeled from the factory. and she has 6000 left to pay

Nicole's civic is paid off but the paint is really bad. We're touching it up some time soon and waxing it before having dealers quote us on trade.

SOrry to keep jacking the thread but I have over paid for cars for the last damn time so I need some help

I got an offer back from a local dealer for a Lapis Blue 6s with black leather.
It has:
AB6 - side air bags
CE1 - Ulev
FLM - floor mats
MR1 - power moon roof
1LX - luxury package
2SE - sport package without spoiler
3RA - Bose audio (like it will be in place for long )

They added $250 for Boston Assesment and $500 for transportation to the invoice price. They say it comes in at about $24000 at invoice and that they add 2%, then they will knock $3K off from rebate and $1000 off if I finace with Mazda. Then the buying price before title and desination is $20,500.

Does this sound right or can I get them down to $19,500 for this car?

well tell'em you really wanted the spoiler, and you're not too keen on the audio package because you'll want to put your own equipment in anyhow.

I don't see why you can't offer them 19,5. See what they say. The worst thing they can do is say "no" and you have to say "thanks" and walk out. That's the real test. If they go after you, you've won! If they don't go after you, wait a day or two and go back.

My bigger problem is that either KBB or NADA is smoking crack. KBB says the car iworth $20K in trade in (BS) and NADA says $25,500. What the hell?

I think I am just going to go down and pull my new meathod. Give me the car for $20K out the door, under a 4.5% APR with nothing down and we can call it a day.

thats what i did with my rx-8. they made an offer and i said well if you can make it this, its a done deal. needless to say, they gave me what i wanted.

So we checked out the Scion Tc tonight. She loved it except it's a coupe.

Then the Toyota Corolla S. Much better pickup and handling than a couple years ago. Still a "no."

Back to the GM dealer again. This time, Pontiac Grand Prix. Fun, but not for her.

She's leaning more towards the G6. Plus she might be able to get 0% financing for 36months...

Nicole hates the look of the 3 sedan. She also dislikes the feel of it. Too small for her. (shrug)

As for the G6, she can actually get a better deal on it than the mazda 6...

when i got the p5 new from the dealer my dad shopped around...and he got a good deal..0 down and 0% apr for 3 years. plus we got msrp pricing or below i cant remember now but we got way below what they were asking for, total price of car, plus had 0 down and 0% apr...my dads a good business man though. plus we almost walked out a couple of times cause they kept going back on their word and there was a better deal at a dealer further away from us but hey id drive for a good deal!
