NGR performance type S. anyone tried it?

I'm sooooo close to pulling the trigger on it, just looking for a good review or 2 from someone who has actually used it on their Speed3
I have the real greddy type-s, sounds bitchin. Performs great in RECIRC but drives terribly in VTA even though it sounds cooler.
Hypnotized bought COMEBACK's NRG valve off of him when he sold it. He can tell you about it, he and I have pm'd back and forth about it. I would suggest giving him a PM because he has the NGR valve from comeback that he bought and has been working with it for over a month, so he can probvably give a good review of how well it works.

i had it on mine and it was great.
It worked so good that you sold it?? What was the reason behind the switch?
i had asked him that before as well, he mentioned he missed the sound of the HKS too much.
I say the greddy and NGR sound way better than the HKS when in VTA, but they ran terrible in vta while the HKS works perfectly in vta, just doesn't sound as nice.
In my opinion the sound the HKS makes in recirc isn't so great, not so loud and it just kind of flutters. for some people thats exactly what there looking for, but i wasn't one of those so i tried mine VTA. The car definantly ran differently but it wasn't bad, at all. Shifts became a LITTLE more jerky and i got the occasional backfire. Hopefully i don't end up like ComeBack and want my HKS back after a little while (hand)
what are you ending up doing for this? selling the hks, or trading it to hypnotized or keeping it and buying the ngr?

does the NGR come so it can be run in recirc? Also, do you need to get a flange so it bolts up correctly?
Haha i already have an ssqv on right now
and i got rid of the ngr because im a bov/wheel *****. im on my 3rd hks on this car also had 2 forges, ngr, turboxs i think thats it so far. i am getting a new set of wheels next week too chief_wiggum

the neck on the side recircs like the stock valve. Here it is mounted on the flange:

Well I'm planning on buying one today. Please tell me now whether I should get this or just get a hks ssqv. I want the fastest opening one I can get, great sound(its the rice in me), quality, and performance besides quick opening. Everyone with a speed3 in my area has the ssqv or the forge. I don't want to sound like them, but I want to have a quality bov as well. Any comments? $130 isn't too bad of a loss if the ngr isn't good enough but can anyone tell me if it sounds good recirculating. Does it still have that loud whistle/ping sound? Thanks.

Also, ngr has a video with a gst eclipse using the ngr bov. Does it sound the same recirculating on the speed3 as it does on the gst in the video recirculating? Thats mostly what I want to know. I have a mscai gen2 as well so it should echo out well.
