Newbie MSP

Hey guys,

After some intense google search i found this MSP forum......well actually iv'e been lazy to sign up so i only watched you guys so far (*evil laugh*)

.......so far i installed an AEM CAI which is prety sweet, i got a Greddy Type RS BOV on the way (it's stuck in UPS land somewhere) and tommorow i'm going to install the Vibrent Performance Cat Back from etd racing......hehe i'm skipping work early so i can go and do it.

Anywayz - this is a really cool forum, none of my friends are interested in cars/import scene (yeh i know scary eh) so i'm looking to join an existing club in the GTA area and meet some new people who are into their MSPs and love cars in general......hopefully i'm at the right place.

This forum is awesome and full of information. Hope things go well with the car.
Hope you have hardpipes for that BOV, and some sort of recirculation.

Indeed, good to hear the pros opinion before i go and attempt something foolish (althow it was a great feeling after i installed that CAI)

The BOV i actually got as a kit (from apexr1.com) so we'll see how it goes....if it ever gets here.

The Cat Back exhaust is installed (see new avatar) i'll take off the silencer tommorow morning and see what the diffrence is.......so far I LIKE (glare)

did you check out http://www.toprotege.com yet? It will help you find the meets, etc.
BTW, how does the vibrant exhaust sound, with the silencer on or off? I really want one but we'll see.
And yea I'm kinda in the same boat as you, tonnes of information on both boards though, great people so far...

Yep i did check toprotege.com - i keep missing their meets cause i'm mostly on this forum (....well, that and porn

The Vibrant Exhaust is fairly quiet with the silencer (slightly louder then stock) and it's prety loud without it (not crazy loud - very bassy.....if that's a real word - you know bass - especially when downshifting) I usually only take the silencer out on the weekends when i go for a joy ride - since i don't want to get pulled over and get dirty looks from old people down the street.

I think the MOM (Meet of the Mazdas) is on this Saturday (Aug 13th) is there anyone from this forum who's going?

I don't know if anyone from here is going, this Ontario room does not seem to be very active... Maybe I'll run into you at a meet and hear your exhaust, these guys on here have said good things and I didn't want a loud ricey exhaust, I wanted something louder but deeper kind of how you're explaining. There is a sign up for the MOM and looks fun, unfortunately I cannot make it though.... Anyway I am sure we'll run into eachother sooner or later. I am pretty much a newbie since I just got my car this spring, take care.

There was a long thread about that Vibrant exhaust in this forum and they posted some sound clips - but it's always better to hear it "live" - so yeh for sure we'll get together at some point if you wanna hear it.

I'll try to make it to the MOM.... if i wake up on time - apperantly there is a pre meet for MOM and some people are driving down as a group (so i'll check it out)
