Just wanting to double check a few things. Just starting to play around with my 5 and I am purchasing some new struts and some springs. Gonna change out end links as well. I hear this is suggested. I was told to use Ford escape awd end links (correct me if I am wrong). Was wondering If I am going to need anymore pieces for the puzzle?? Was going to change out all mounts and bearings as well. With the lowering of the car am I getting into camber problems?? Do I need to change out anything or just a good alinment after I am done installing? Any little tips or info would be greatly appriciated. Thanks TOM

My parts that I am ordering are
Stagg Struts
Tein Or megan springs
Escape End Links
New Mounts and Bearings.

^^what sig? And OP, I don't know anything about the escape awd endlinks for the P5....Sorry...As far as struts and springs go, why not just spend the extra 3-400 and get some coilovers?

Because unless you're making frequent changes to either ride height or spring rate, coilovers are a complete waste of money. Personally, I don't have the need to constantly adjust suspension settings on my daily commuter. For my race car? Sure, coilovers so I can fine tune the spring rate.

Looks complete to me.

Have an electric(or air) impact wrench and a dremel or some other HS cutter for the end links...

Soak bolts in PB Blaster over night...

Have a spring compression tool to safely remove the strut / spring bolt

Sharpie to mark positions on the old to one to align closely.

Jack stands!

Patience.

GL!

Look at my car in sig currently its got the tein s techs with stagg struts. Its rides good imo. Its just a dd. The drop is satisfying imo.

X2 ^^^^^^^^^

Thats my setup at the moment, Tein S-techs on Stagg's. Rides good for a DD.

Also the Endlinks should be from the 3.0 V6 Model 4WD. I just asked for the 2002 model year. Autozone has them for $10.

Good checklist.

I bought some megans last summer and never got to putting them on, i need new struts for sure and this is the setup i was going to do... Would you mind throwin up a link, where you got everything besides the struts and springs..? Thatd be rad and most appreciated if you did. What size are your tires? i think im sitttin on 55's and i don't want that shiit to rub
