2009 Pontiac G8 GT
Checking out the site, as my wife and I are interested in getting a new CX9, and I find that enthusiast forums are the best place for information and owner testimonials for cars. We would be getting rid of my wife's 2008 Saturn Aura XR for it. We used to have a 03 Honda Pilot and miss the room. The new Pilots suck, and we want something with a third row. All my searching so far has led us here. I have cross-shopped so far with a 2011 Kia Sorento and a 2011 Toyota Highlander. So far the CX9 is by far the better vehicle in my eyes. I currently drive a 2009 Pontiac G8 GT. This would be our second Mazda. I had a 1988 Mazda 323 GT a few years ago (Props if you know what that is).

Looking forward to learning more about the CX9!

oh im pretty sure theres more than a few people here who know what that is

but from what ive heard the CX9 is pretty cool its like a sporty car with room if you do decide then let me b the first to welcome you to the forum
theres a few owners here theyll put their 2cents in good luck with your decision

Hope you get the CX9 eventually.
We will be here to enjoy the CX9s together....

IMHO, CX9s are the biggest bang for your hard-earn $$$, and it handles like MDX or X5 for so much less and more room to carry stuff.

I agree with Ceric. I've had my 2010 CX9 GT now for 4000 miles and it has performed up to expectations in all areas. I moved from a ML320 and it took a little getting used to how much smoother the CX9 is and less truck like. Best bang for the buck without any question in this style/size vehicle. MB, Audi and BMW don't even come close pricewise being 10-20K more. MDX is an extra 6K too. Zoom Zoom is for real too. Features are great and I'd only like to tweak a few things (whereas there were lots of things I'd have changed on the ML). I am still surprised at how big it is lengthwise compared to the competitors listed. It really is minivan size in all ways except height. That leads to lots of room and a very nice highway ride but does make close quarters manuvering a bit of a challenge at times. I'd give it five stars regardless but considering the bang for the buck it deserves even more.

I actually just bought a cx-9 2 weeks ago and i did looked at the pilots which sucked, i was debating on the hyundai vera cruz, traverse and cx-9, but the cx-9 is the best for me and it looked a lot cooler than the others, i came from a mustang convertible so i needed one that has a sporty look and feel. and i also the price 2010 touring with bose, sunroof package for 27k, hope this helps

My wife and I just bought a 2008 CX-9 GT AWD and it is totally worth it! We test drove Honda Pilot, Toyota Highlander and finally settled on the CX-9. Aside from giving us the biggest bang for the buck, the ride is smoother and definitely a lot more fun and sportier.
