... Here's my Auto, White Water Pearl 06 Mazda 5 Touring w/Navi...

Have had it since Feb. of 06. I love this car. Enough room for me and my kids to go camping, to the beach, whatever... My only complaint is that I wish this thing had some sort of traction control.

I am happy to report that I have never experienced ANY of the common problems that some of you have had such as the front end crunch and sliding door lock freezing...

I had some pictures when I first bought it but my comp got a virus and I lost them. I'll get some better pictures soon.

My HID Kit should be here any day now. I'm excited Check out my sig for my future plans with the car...

Great color choice. Touring with Nav? I guess prior to the 08's you could get Nav with the Touring? Now you have to have the Grand Touring to get Nav.

Anyway, welcome. I like mine a lot too. Very comfortable and quiet riding vehicle that is at the same time very versitile...

Yeah, back when I bought it there were only two trim levels available. The Sport and the Touring. The Navi wasn't that big a deal but the Sport didn't have the fog lights and moonroof as an option so I figure if I was gonna spend money on a Touring, might as well make it worth it

lol, more or less lol... but in all honesty, I've seen a Mazda 3 with the 12000k kit, it was more blue than purple, but then again it's more than likely a different kit. the 30000k is the real violet/purple...

I'm not sure, I haven't received it yet. FedEx still has it lol. However, I've read a few articles that said anything higher than 6000k has slightly less visabilty but the difference is very minimal... i'll see if I can find it again...

Color Temperature K revealed!

All light bulbs have a color temperature rating in degrees kelvin known as K. The K rating refers to the color of the light output from the bulb. Color temperature K is inversly proportional to light output. This means that the higher you go in the K scale the less luminous or bright the light output. The loss of luminous flux is not so prominent on HID bulbs. Example: a 4300K bulb may have a luminous flux of 1400 lm while a 14000K bulb may have a luminous flux of 1200 lm. Accross this scale of K, loss of luminosity is pretty minute. The main point I am trying to get accross is; the higher you go in the K scale the light output will decrease slightly, not increase as some people think. 4300K bulbs are the whitest and brightest, 14000K bulbs are super blue and bright but not as bright as lower K bulbs. I hope this clears things up.

Will do... I have the night shots for the regular headlights already. Hopefully the HID Kit comes in today so I can install it. But I don't think this kit came with a relay harness, so i'm gonna have to purchase one I hope it has one though...

Here is what Xenon Expert PM'd me about harnesses.

Well NO one got there car damaged from our kits not having a battery harness. That's in 7 years. Of course the battery harness adds a layer of protection but your car has fuses also...

Projector headlight is "better" than "halogen" housing in focusing the beam with clearer/better cutoff line. however, amount of light (lumen) decreaes as the color temperature(Kelvin) increases.. i have 6000K though it is better than stock halogen but it is less usable light than stock HID (4300K).
i just ordered 4300K bulbs and it should arrive in day or two. i will compare the output.. (thumb)

I've also read that the usable light is less, however, everything i've read said it's not like 'OMG, I Can't see sh*t!!!' type of difference. Noticable, but nothing to get dramatic over. I guess the only real way to know is to test it out and that's what i'm gonna do for you guys
