Hello, i hate to start my 1st post on a messageboard off as a thread I start... But i was looking for some answers and its some werid questions, im going to take a stab and guess searching wouldnt of pull up what im wanting :P

I'm in the market for a new car. For years I've been a Subaru nut. dreams of gc8 imprezas have danced in my head for a few years now. But since i live in texas, it's damn hard to find the 98-01 impreza... let alone with less than 60k miles. So I'm giving up on my AWD dreams for now and hopefully tradeing AWD for something FWD and sportier than my orginal idea... what I am looking at right now is the following

1.MSP (i think thats what you kids call it around here)
2.MP3
3.Nissan SE-R spec V
4.Honda Civic Si
5.(anything else youd recomend and is similar)

Now a factor for me is the quality and quanity of choices i have in aftermarket parts for each car... JDM tyte yo~! is a plus. And while I've kind of built up a hate to civics, i really don't want to throw it out because im sure theres plenty to do to it and im sure they are great and quick cars. But the MSP and MP3 seem like wonderful cars. And this community seems great. A big plus for me, because one of the great parts of surbaru is its online community nasioc. And i have a feeling the civic boards arn't as mature as you'd find on here and subaru boards... but still I'm not going to assume civics arn't great cars because of the people I've met with them.

CN:need opinions on cars 1-5

thanks for input i get!

the mp3 and msp are very similar, except for the lsd and turbo found in the msp, the nissan is very fast and corbers well, but i don't like it, the civic is slow, i keep up with them, and i'm really slow

i would recommend the RSX-S from 2002, i love that car, plenty of aftermarket, plenty of everything

that was a idea i had aswell, but are alittle more than i was wanting to spend. but i love those things though

i would recommend a P5 but then i think i might be biased (headbang)

ok now for a recommendation thats not a protege 5. the civic si is a nice car (the new one), there too much of the older models around that they're no longer special. too played out i guess.

you could find an MSP for close to that amount, depending on location... Also, there is a turbo MP5 FS here too if you are interested... its pretty slick, but not sure if you like the wagons.

Civic Si, meh, not a fan, spec-V, nice car and good n/a power, but i cant get over the look...

good luck though whatever you get...

Free Bump...this has the potential for being an interesting thread :D

Need more space but same mazda zoom? P5

Less money on a car and more on parts (turbo!!!) = MP3

More money on a car and more parts to choose from = MSP

What about an MX-5?

for a bit over that amt you could pick up a used mazda3i.... not very powerful but newer and its still a mzd..(some zoom zoom) i would think if you want a big after market and a car that stands out a lil (si, se-r, msp) i would go with the msp... fun cars to drive and the lsd deffinatly helps things out over just the mp3.... good luck in your search...
