New to M3SP23 Quick Q..dashboard leds...

(ugh) Hi, I just bought a 2005 SP23 (second hand) but the leds on the 3 air conditioning knobs don't light up.. are they even supposed to light up? if so what could be the problem and how can I fix it? thanx anyone...

Also the manual says that when you lock it the warning lights should light up once.. but they don't.. also I would like to know if anyone has had this problem or what the problem could be...

sounds like some one may have done some aftermarket stuff to your car...not sure what you mean when you say 3 leds.... i thought there was just a light ring around the knobs?

actually i think i know what you are saying. I think the AC only works in a specific setting, when the "fresh air/circulation" button indicates fresh air then the AC works, otherwise nothing happens. I am pretty sure this is the behavior, im not 100% sure but im away from my car right now.

Make sure the trunk is closed - if the trunk is open, the lights won't flash when the car is locked.....

Yeah thats what I meant.. the "Light rings" around the knobs for the air conditioning and the on/off button for the stereo won't light up.. I'm gonna check the fuses to see if maybe that's where the problem is.. any suggestions..?

there is an optoin for illuminate on/off in your radio menu.... not sure what it does i think its just the volume up/down light but try looking there as well...oh yeah check your dimmer switch on the left hand side you may have hit it with your knee and that will dimm the s*** out of those..... (done it)
