New STF SCCA Class Thread

bwiggs - 10th in pax is amazing on stock tires. I'm curious on how your raw time was. Its hard to say if the 195 or 205 will be faster. Less flex and a slight gearing advantage with the 195's, potentially more grip with the 205.

Thanks guys, surprised alot of people out there! The event was supposed to be our first points event, but at the last minute it was changed to a "test and tune". However it was a great fast 50 sec course, and everyone ran it competitively. It was pretty much a non points event with everyone getting our usual 6 runs. Due to this they haven't posted results. I believe I was around 20th raw.

Think I'm gonna go with 205s, should be fine and save $44/set vs 195... Hoping to have them by a 2day autox mid may

It will be fun to see how you do with some real rubber under your 2.

Did a Pro Solo this weekend just because it was in my back yard, sort of. While I did not do that great compared to other drivers, I did manage a .510 light and another .525 out of 12 runs, two RL's, all the way up to over 1 seconds. LH side was uphill so a bit tough with e-brake use.

The only mod on my car is 15x7 wheels so off to stf i go.

That being said, I was pulling 42 and 43 second times while the fast times were 38 and 39 but on hoosiers. I tried leaving the ATC ON during my last runs and found myself not much slower but you have to trail brake and pitch the car more in order to avoid having the Stability & control kicking in. This is a hell of fun car.

With a decent suspension I could be in top half, easy.

Prosolos are always a blast. It seems with every prosolo I've done, the start was always on a slant. Usually took me one or two launches to get the hang of the e-brake/clutch/throttle timing. In the ATL region here they set it up as a "double-cross" where you cross over to the other side of the course and then come back to the finish from opposite directions. Makes it really fun to spectate, but I was always a little nervous since it would finish in a head-on collision if someone lost their bearings coming into the final straight.
