new speakers came in!!

Yes they are and they sound sweet. I have the pro 6.5's, which is half the price and they sound great, but I wanted the z6's. In the end, I opted for the 6.5's and a JL woofer for the same price as the z6's. Somday I might have the z6's though!

holy crap thats a lot of money for speakers...

crazy

Where speakers never deprciate.......I bet that the speakers will account to half the value of the mazda in about 5 to 7 years time .....talk about crazy!

p.s. my mazda will be delivered next week.....a nice H/B sunlight silver. Beatiful......nevertheless, from the test drive I had......I have sour feeling that I will be so dissapointed with the stock audio!!!!!

ohh....and for you lot....mine will be a diesel.....(available only to Europe)....I did test drive the 2.0 litre.....was fine.....but the diesel has so much more pulling power....I just could not say no.....ohh and the best part is it does 55MPG...where as the 2.0 litre does some 36 MPG (miles per gallon)..

yahooooo

yeah i have a 4 chan amp by jl audio to run them bi amp, its 75 per chn. and deffin going to deaden the doors... i have a boston 10 pro series sub as well, going with a jl audio 250 d series amp for that one.. wanted the new boston subs... they are on their website but not available yet...??... so i am sticking with the one i had before and will upgrade later... but sound deadening and electrical grounding are going to be key...

yea i had 400w to left and 400w to right on my 6.53 boston pros. 75 wont do it justice, if u have the money to spend on z6 bostons mine as well go all the way :)

yup that's what I have running to my 6.5 pros too...or it is 300 to each...whatever, you need more for the z6s

werd. i was gonna go z6 too but its really an audiophile speaker and in a car with windows open like i like u lose alot of sound.

what kind of amp were you running 400w with into the pro's? in my truck i was using http://www.jlaudio.com/evolution/XR650CS.html and had only 75 to each side and ended up blowin one of them right before i got my mz3... i was thinking 150 to each side for the z6 (75 into each chnl) would be plenty? this is the amp i was going to use on the z's http://www.jlaudio.com/amps/e4300.html .... am rethinking that now and may sell it and get another... do'h...

it was a kicker 800.4 , i didnt have rears just those. if u biamp them it should be good to go. they are 3ohm load so on that amp u were gonna get its 75w @ 2 ohm and 45w @ 4 so you will be somewhere in between there.(i believe thats how it works) I think 150 to a side is fine.

yeah i didn't realize they were 3ohm... so 60w a chn, 120 a side..mmm... i will prob try it and if i don't like it will sell the amp and get some more WATTAGE!! but i am not going to any comps or anything just for the pleasure of my own ears.... i already have the amp its sitting on my desk at home been there since i bought my mz3... (august) been hard just looking at it and not being able to use it... can't wait till i get my tax return back then should be able to toss enough $$ to get the sub's amp and the custom fiberglass install all taken care of...

yea i mean i did that later on cause i had the amp (the 400w a side). i had 150 a side before and it was fine, if u find that they arent loud enough and u have to max the volume on the radio to get good sound then u can up it. i think youll be fine though.

on a side note i had 6 speakers up front too, and mids and tweets were in kick panels and woofer in doors so the stage was a lil low, so 150 wasnt doin so well. but it all depends on the application

thats a pretty massive front stage set up... lots of low end up front...... yeah i have already blown my psngr door speaker... rattles like no ones business when i play any bass heavy song... or turn up the music past a certian point... have gotton used to turning the balance mostly to the right... it sucks can't wait to put these bad boys in, my man is bringin them to work tomorrow.... so stoked!! (def didn't pay 1g for em)

damn that is a massive front stag, and I would say 150watts is the low of end sounding great for the z6, but it should do just fine for everyday listening. We don't want you going deaf too soon!
