Paul said:but if they've supplied instructions for installing a exhaust then why not a downpipe. is what everyone wants to know
HorsepowerFreak said:The exhaust system comes with hardware that needs an explanation and requires modification in a couple different areas. These things are a direct result of the CS product. Therefore they include that information. It's not a tech sheet on how to do the job, it just explains the changes the user needs to make in order for that product to be installed properly.
The downpipe does not require this additional attention.
HorsepowerFreak said:I'm not really sure what the need is though... You remove the old pieces and replace the downpipe. You're just removing bolts, nuts and a couple lines. They are all pretty visible. I'm not sure what help a written set of directions would even bring. To remove the turbocharger your best option is probably to remove the entire manifold. I've read on here that people have replaced such things with the turbocharger on, but I'm not sure what they did differently. I personally have not removed the turbocharger myself. But removing the radiator may be required also.
slug420 said:not trying to complain but rather discuss the point....I would think that removing the turbo off the car and possibly the radiator would be considered more significant than most of the adjustments made while installing the exhaust...
the probablies and maybes would be the need for instructions....
again, im not pissed or anything, just discussing the point
