New problem

opened my trunk today to grab my coat, and the carpet was wet. So I pulled the carpet up and what do I see? 4 inches of water in the spare tire well:mad: so I pulled the drain plug and decided to inspect further. Well the carpeting is soaked all the way up to the front seats and the bottom of the back seats are soaked:mad:

I have been wondering why the car always smelled musty, I thought my daughter spilled something. Now I know as does Mazda of Bedford. They cant get me in til next friday

Anybody else have this problem or is it just me?

I suspect the problem to be the seam sealer, I cant think of anything else that would cause such a leak.

you bumped it after 4 minutes?

Wow.. impatient are we. :)

I remember hearing something about this a few months ago.. try a search and you might find some info.

People have had leaks in their trunks in the past...I do remember this for a fact.

Yeah, it's probably a seal or something. Similar thing happened to my moms old Grand Prix. We didn't notice it till we heard the water sloshing around in the back.

I washed my car and noticed a decent volume of water inside the trunk (on the inside of the trunk lid). It hadn't fallen to the carpet, but it was concerning.

Please let us know what comes out of the dealer. I've only driven my car once in a rainstorm so far so I haven't really been able to see if I have the same problem.

Thanks
