Hello all, I purchased a 2006 Mazda5 sport about 3 weeks ago. As soon as I got it I immediately started modding. As of now I installed some H&R springs and had the windows tinted. I also put in a K&N filter. Right now I'm looking at adding a navigation deck with satellite radio. I think that will be pretty much it. Here is a picture:

welcome aboard! Our cars are nearly identical, except mine hasn't been lowered (yet) You have me wanting to get the H&R springs again. What struts are you using with those springs?

I'm currently using stock struts and shocks that were replaced by the PO 1.5 years ago.. I know I will need to upgrade in the future..As of now the van rides great and I'm pleased with it..

Its good to know the stockers will support lowering, if only for a little while. I'm thinking Koni Yellows all around, so I won't have to do the job twice. How many miles on your 5? Did you have any of the famous suspension noises?

Yes I did have the infamous "clunk". It turned out to be the strut bushings and the sway bar bushings. I had the dealer replace those and give it a transmission and fuel system flush. The van had 93k on the odometer when I bought it.. I'm still gauging my gas mileage. Right now I'm averaging around 380 miles per tank with mixed city and highway driving.

That sounds about right for mileage per tank. Is yours an auto or a 5 speed? I am kind of assuming that the front end clunk I have is caused by strut bushings, rather than the FSB bushings.

I have an automatic..
