New MSP Owner

yeah i dunno about the tvs in the headrest but I got the car for $13k and it has pretty low miles and is very clean. It does hold boost, but it feels like it wants to go a lot faster if you know what I mean. I guess I'll have the bf check out the vac hoses and if its not that then Im guessing it is the boost guage. And one last thing, how is your radio reception?

Welcome, and my radio reception is better than any other car I've owned. Nice deal by the way, I got screwed on mine...it has a bad third cylinder from the sheisty dealer where i got it from.

That sucks, I hate assholes like that. I tried to buy a silver & blue one from two different dealers and they wouldn't even drop down $1k on the price so I said screw it and bought this one. My radio gets a few stations, but its the same as what my 240 got, and that had a broken off antenna lol

Ok, so I didnt write that by the way. I apologise, I think someone from my work pulled this site up and is writing crap. (I know its you Walt)

Black looks mean
Agreed. I almost got myself a black one last year a month or so before I bought my 2003.5 blue one. Hell I saw the ad one day, called the next day & it was already gone. Craziness. But the cars are definitely great. I've had very little problem with mine since I bought it last September with 37k on it. A minor sway bar bushing noise on the front passenger side that warranty fixed & some other minor stuff from the guy that owned it before me. Turns out he broke the rear hanger to the Magnaflow exhaust he put on it & never had it fixed. DOH! The only other problem I've seen thus far is a blown caliper on the passenger side front which I think was likely caused from abusive stopping of the previous owner too. Ah well, it rocks ... even stock. Now that I've passed the 50k marker it's time to start modifying. ;)

Welcome. Normally the msp's boost stock is around 6.5psi.

Hi everyone, i just registered in the forum, i've done almost 50k on my msp and thinking now of mods, any suggestions, anyone, please?

P.S., i've read some stories about the engine rods being weak and it's not such a good idea to modify the boost and if one does modify, just done use boost on 5th gear. Any updates on these issues on how to overcome a blown engine from any mods?

Dont drive it? Nah you never know when or if it will ever happen so I dont worry about it.

I've been babying it, it took me two weeks to get the title & finally be able to register it, so it just sat in the driveway that whole time....it sucked. I was dieing the drive it!

i would try to see if any of your friends ahd a more accurate gauge.
borrow it, for a few hours, drive arround and see if it's still 4psi.
autometer gauges are not accurate. i recommend defi.

its funny how i'm going in the opposite direction as you with my cars. enjoy the MSP.
