New INTAKE MANIFOLD protegegarage

So if I bought this manifold how much more would it be to have everything done to it to make it the best it can be?

How hard is it to install?
 
If and when you get someone to test this on the NA cars, I will most likely buy this product. Much better the 499 or whatever that other place sold them for.
 
Has anyone confirmed that this is a good upgrade? I just want some proof that it can produce those numbers or at least some power and I will buy it.
 
Gains or not, here's one good reason why I am in on it:
No more loose VICS screws. Once is enough.
My warranty is gonna expire in about 5 weeks, and if it happens again after that I'll be out 1000+ depending on the damage.
 
For real.. I think I've lost a screw before also. Couple not having to worry about that and a few extra ponies and you can't go wrong for the price. So this will get rid of that nasty ass rattle when you first start the car up also right?
 
Tekkie---did you ever get to the dyno and actually make a pull? The last I remembered was it was closed or soemthing when you were supposed to go. I'd like to know real WHP gains!
 
nah I have not went yet, damn snow came and I dont drive in the winter :(

but once I get back from vacation in Jan I think I am going, I need to do it before I start my motor swap

its a 626 manifold, the 626 uses the same motor as the protege, its rated at the same hp level so I would say the gains are close to 0

but no vics or whatever.. little less restriction eh? Damn.. killing my hopes.. I was planning on testing this on my p5...

I am just guessing, it might give ya gains I just cant see how
 
i hope they can be some gains, i am looking at doing a p & p with springs, vavles, and cams. i would be willing to give up the mp5 for testing for before and after gains. ken is a hour north of me.
 
is there any difference between this manifold and a regular 626 manifold or are they the exact same and one has just been cleaned up and painted.
