hey guys,

what would be the best aftermarket horn for the P5? the stock ones a little weak to say the least.

thank you

The Stebel Nautilus horns are known to be one of the loudest ones available without needing compressed air. In my motorcycle community, they are highly recommended for those who ask about a loud horn. They push out something like 139db which is insane.

This is the horn I have and which was recommended to me from another member. It will require a little cutting to the backside of the grill but nothing that can't be done with a utility knife.

What about just going to a junk yard and taking a horn from any midsize or larger car? Probably get it pretty cheap.

I would love to replace the horn with something that's not -for lack of a more suitable word- gay, but since the alarm system is as bad as everything else on this rolling pile of s***, it would just go off all the time.

Turn down the sensitivity on the alarm and it won't go off all the time. Little white knob on the alarm module under the dash

Here's a thread on this topic from a while ago:

I personally have the Sickspeed horns, and I would recommend them if you are on a budget. That being said, you are getting what you pay for. It may not be a bad idea to invest in something a little better, especially if you live in a harsh climate. In my circumstances in New England, my Sickspeed horns are beginning to rust and sound a bit bad after almost two years. If you are in a climate that isn't conducive to rust, you should be fine with them.
