Hi..I am a new here but i've been visiting the forum for more than one year now. Just bought my 2008 CX-7. It was love at first sight but waited for one year to have one. My wife bought the Tango Red 2007 Honda CRV last year so i had the chance to drive them both and I wasn't wrong about my choice. Got the GT-AWD, Bose Moonroof, remote engine start, auto-dimming mirror with home link and preferred equipment package. The color is true silver metallic, I called my 7 "SILVER". Actually my first choice was the liquid platinum but the dealer don't have the color. But I am okay with with my choice. Actually they are almost identical (in my opinion) except that the other is cool and the other is warm, just like grays you have cool grays and warm grays.

It was love at first sight the moment I saw the CX-7 ( MX crossport concept). And till now none of the new models of SUV out there (IMO) changed my mind to purchase the 7. I've seen a lot of the 7 in the Baltimore area and how my head used to turn as I see one. In fact i've seen two true silver metallic color, the latest I saw last week was a galaxy gray. In fact to my recollection i've seen all of the colors of the 7. The 1st 7 I saw was a crystal white pearl and it was a year ago.It was cool because it's just snowed and out of nowhere there she comes..I'll post some pics soon.Thanks and i've had lots of information from all of you when I am visiting this forum as guest..Regards

Hi Bucnoy. Congrats! This is my second posting as a new member too. I was a senior member at 300C forums before trading my Chrysler 300C for a KIA (no lie).
Anyways, my wife bought an 07 last week and I love the car soooo much, I'm trying to buy another one. There is a $5000 rebate on the remaining 07's (Touring and GT models). The rebate isn't openly advertised but it's there (Cleveland, OH) area.

I couldn't wait to come home and post. I just bought an 08 GT AWD in Black Cherry with the tech package, wheel locks and cargo net. Made them throw in Sirius and a cargo tray AND to turn off the belt minder. I also bought the 72/100,000 Total Care warranty. With 3k in negative equity and the S plan, I paid $33,457 out the door with nothing out of pocket.

I couldn't figure out how to turn the radio on and I have no idea where to load the CD's (won't be long....). Anyways, every time I stop, I smell the catalyst converter and can't wait till it burns off the smelly stuff.

It's snowing here in Cleveland and I'm already frustrated with all the slow drivers. What a nice car!

I agree with you 100% Even the interior quality of the 7 is far better than the CRV. I have the turbo badge and the chrome trimmings on the fog lights. I've been thinking about the top grille but for now I'll keep it as it is with the few additions. I'll wait for a good weather here to take some pics . It looks like there'll be a snowstorm...The 7 really rocks! I Like the sound of the engine as you accelerate and it handles like a car.Thanks to all of you in welcoming me in this forum...

Welcome aboard! Nice color too! It seems that the number of CX-7 and CX-9 are increasing! Here in my place just this morning saw a liquid platinum parked ouside a mall. Later on at a medicall complex i'm parked side my side with a Black CX-9 and after that i went to the supermarket to my surprise I saw another black CX-9 ! It is really nice to see both of them parked side by side in real situations ouside of the dealership.....Well congrats to your 08' CX-7 and a new set of tires!...hey, i'm also figuring out an avatar.Thanks!

Thanks Bucnoy. I haven't seen very many other CX-7's or even CX-9's on the road, but maybe that's to be expected in Detroit. Glad to see the other posts about the CRV - that was up for consideration, but it sound like I made the right choice (at least that's what they say on the CX-7 forum!). Nice color...thanks for sharing pics...I have the upper grille, chrome look fog trim, shark fin antenna, pinstripe, dash kit, turbo badge, zoom zoom tail light cover......I better calm down huh!! LOL.
CX 7 is so cool looking....front and back looks so sweet in comparison to other vehicles!!!
