New guy here!

The silver lining to a disappointing situation was that the salesman did a very nice thing for my son. This is the biggest purchase he's ever made and was so looking forward to getting the new car, so you can imagine how bummed out/mad/disappointed/_______ (Insert your adjective of choice) he was. There are still a few decent sales guys out there.

I love a good salesman story. Mine was also great, and you never really hear too many of these stories going around.

Outstanding customer relations! Give a "shout out" for good service by naming the seller so others can go to a company like that 👍
 
CX looks good! I fully understand your son's frustration about needing to replace the batteries upon two days of ownership but at least the salesman made good for it!

If it helps, tell your son to be glad that he didn't buy a Jeep! I replaced both (main and aux) battery in our 2019 Compass (bought in May of 2019) in December of 2021 (just past the battery warranty). I replaced the replacements in January of 2024. Four years is outstanding battery life! haha
