New Headlights

What type of bulb do our foglight use? 9000 Series? or 800 Series?

I want to get a white/hid fog light bulb, any recommendation?

How have the luminics held up? Have any burnt out? Any thoughts after 6 months?

The Luminics bulbs are still working great. I use the fogs more often than when I had the stock bulbs, since the new ones actually help a lot. And none of them have burnt out yet. (knock on wood)

I've got 5k's ordered, but apprarently haven't shipped. Which sucks 'cause it's supposed to be 50 this Saturday here in Mass., which would make my garage nice and toasty. It's gonna drop back into the 30's on Sunday and beyond, so I'll have to freeze my butt off to install 'em.

On another note, I'm wondering why you guys are having such problems with bulbs burning out? I think I've had 1 bulb burn out on my cars over the last 10 years. Of course, I've had like 6 cars in that span, but still. Are you cleaning the bulbs with rubbing alcohol, and wearing gloves to install them? Or are you just getting cheapies that burn out fast?

Not necessarily cheapies, but they burn hotter to produce more light to help overcome the blue coating (which removes a lot of the effective light emitted from the filament). Because they burn hotter, they last a hell of lot shorter.

^^^ hahaha lmao
this was the time period when HIDs were still uber expensive
