New Guy and Future MS3 Owner

Hi future speed3 owners,

I placed my order this week and was given a late November delivery date. They had one coming in at the end of this month but i can't deal with bright red cars. I decided to wait for the black one.
How accurate are these dates?
I'm really getting excited about this car as I start reading more reviews. Has anyone here actually driven one yet?

So far lousy, but maybe now that things are running full speed, they make it here in a more reasonable time frame.

wait a minute...i didnt know u were getting an ms3?

Not on order, but I've been in touch with local dealers. I'm still debating between the 3 or an RX8.

Just talked to Steve

1. Car is still at port. The scuff plates and oil cap have been installed. Once the floor mats, wheel locks, and owner's manual are on the car, it is on to the truck and the dealership.

2. I re-confirmed with him that there are to be no dealer stickers, pinstripes, or front license plate holders on the car. I want it untouched.

3. I also re-confirmed with him that no one, whether customer or employee, is to drive this car - accept to the gas station for the complimentary full tank of gas. I've seen one too many posts about a dealership employee driving an MS3...

4. I re-confirmed that they will not be adding any dealers surcharge to the price of the MS3's. The price, before tax/tags/registration, will be $22,835.

My best guess is that it will be at the dealer by Friday. It's only coming from N. Jersey, which is less than 2 hours drive from here.

good news there chris. I was in with steve on thursday, nailed down a rate of 6.5% through wilmington trust. So with $8000 down, my payments per month are under $350. Part of me almost hopes that the car isnt there til monday because I will be camping in west virginia starting friday afternoon and I really dont want the car sitting there at the dealer all weekend

Hmmm... I called Wilmington Trust directly and the best they would offer was 7.75% - and that's with me being a client for over 12 years! Oh well, I ended up getting 6.35% through Capital One. With $3000 down, my payments will be right around $400. Good for you on the rate and the DP.

As for your car, I think Steve is pretty aware that we are both concerned about other people driving them, so hopefully he'll take the necessary precautions. All he really has to do is park it behind the gate and take the keys. No one has any reason to go into them except for us, considering they are already spoken for.

Hey Chris, I actually work @ Nucar Mazda as well. Im actually right next to Steve's office. Everyone knows the cars are NOT to be touched/driven unless otherwise necessary (gas and pre-delivery inspection are the only 2 reasons the vehicle will be moved). I think at this point the "plan" is to put them on the showroom floor and lock 'em up, but we wont be sure until theyre here (hell, you guys will probably be here the day they come in so there probably wont be a point to even do that). If it makes you feel any better Im anxiously waiting for them to come in as well.... and all I want is to LOOK at it (well... ok maybe I want a ride too (peep) ).

congrats on the car... you'll probably see a post from me the second they pull in on the carrier, followed by a phonecall from steve...

Hi Sean! I think my concerns have more to do with what I've read about other dealers, not NuCar in particular. Through this whole process, Steve has been great in dealing with my psychosis.

As for my car, you're right - I will be there the day they come in. I'm already cleared to take a personal day from work, so hopefully I can get down there and drive her home ASAP. I appreciate the thought of putting them on the showroom floor - keeps them out of the elements - but I would like to keep you guys from having to make that decision at all.

If you could PM me (and Jay) when the carrier pulls up, that would be great.

guys mind if I ask what kind of deposits their asking for...i have actually had 2 different dealers here ask for 2 different amounts, the larger being 2grand even....Im waiting on details from my dealers internet departments as they guaranteed me the msrp and no higher and that they would have a blue or silver one available in about 45-60 days.

well, they took a copy of my credit card and held the car for me on good faith, never charged me anything. I think if I was giving a check it would be for $500. Honestly though, if you're getting offered the car at MSRP, putting down a decent sized deposit might be worth it. Ive been hearing lots of mark-ups starting to happen on these cars as the supply becomes much less than the demand, so locking it in at MSRP doesnt sound like a bad idea

Dont worry Chris,

Steve and I will contact you and Jay by every means available to us (PM, Email, Cell, Home, Work, etc.) lol.... I think the hard part would be missing our calls and emails. Steve and I are both as excited (well almost anyway) as you 2 about having the cars come in, so we will definately know the second they are in. Keep in mind that the Pre-Delivery inspection will take a few hours approx. so even if we call you the second theyre in you wont be able to take delivery for a few hours... but you could always get the paperwork out of the way!!

Well if it was $500 i would have already put my deposit down =)

but one dealer is asking 2k and the other 1500 for whatever reasons and I cant put that much down now, maybe in 2 months but......

Wonder if I can convince them to give me the 3500 cash back and Splan pricing on an MS6...lol.

Feel like driving to Delaware to pick her up? We do good faith deposits of 500 which are refundable... 2-3k isnt a deposit its a downpayment. Ive personally never seen a deposit that high before

thats what i was thinking, i had heard of several people here puting down $500 deposits and then the "internet manager" for the dealer emails back that they are accepting deposits of 2grand....which put me off then they talk about these 3 loaded GT models coming in when I specifically asked about a blue sport model...Ive already started contacting other dealers in the state here to see if I get better info....if not who knows, maybe Ill have one of my dads buds at jaguar in jersey come up and pick it up to be trucked out here....lol.

Try Bernie Bishop Mazda. Ask for Rick Bishop. He has always treated us good on our past and current purchases. Two other people I sent to him have ordered Speed 3's as well with great price and only the $500 down.
He's in OR so not to far for you. Heck, I'm coming in under invoice with TT&L on my MS3.

Hope he can help you.
