New Exhaust for Mazdaspeed Proteges

ok, mine also took alot longer than planned but it is on, the kartboys rock and no clunking!!!!, even with the grinded collars off those nuts they were a b**** to get on, and why the hell did they use those big ass 17mm nuts and bolts for the rest. IMO it was overkill there. This is louder than I expected, but nice, I might but the silencer in it most of the time, take it out for nice days, did it seem to yall that we have better high end with this, really seemed faster 60-80 and 80-100 than before, I am not complaining about that. Anybody elses make a little popping noise at idle? its only noticable if I am standing behind the car. Other than that it really moves, definite gain on the butt dyno. props to everybody here for their contribution to this group buy. its a great exhaust.

why would you spend the money on a larger less restrictive exhaust, only to throw a plug into it? silencer's are for quitters!

i think you dont understand me, i like the exhaust and I do plan on using it, but sometimes its nice to have the silencer, i am not keeping it in all the time, it hasnt even been in, i just know its louder than i thought it would be and to be courtious to my neighbors, i will use the silencer and when I want to be loud i will. to each his own right? i'll take full benefit of my exhaust dont you worry about that, the thoery is kinda like having a boost controller with a high low switch, i am not always trying to kill my car. normal driving, a silencer isnt too bad.

I'll only put my silencer on when my gf is in the car, she always complains about modding my car. But she doesn't complain when i spend money on her, *rolls eyes* women can be selfish, like trying to take away your hobbies and ego.

yeah, my wife doesnt care for it either, she was thrilled I spent all day yesterday at my friends house putting my exhaust on, and I went to a meet all night Friday.

Hmmm sounds identical to what I had to deal with!! I went to a meet on Friday night and caught s*** for it from my wife. then on Saturday caught s*** for being at my Dad's all day putting on my exhaust and intake.

Hmmm thats a tough one I love my wife so to be a good husband I am going to say wife. but if she was just my girl friend it would most def. be car.

got to agree here, no substitute for the wifey, but girlfriends come and go, unless you know she's the one, but my wife drives me crazy in a good way so i try to make it up to her when i can, i asked her to make a list of things she would like fixed or cleaned around the place and i promised "to do my best" and finnish them within a decent length of time.

Yeah but sometimes life isn't fair for both, Im pretty sure you sacrifice for her and she sacrifices for you. So to me its a 50/50 in the relationship. So in other words they have to respect what you like and for what she likes, i mean you can't tell a male no you can't do this or that. Thats control imo. Oh and another thing my valentines day was my exhuast ;) *from myself of course* gf didn't get me anything cause her business major at school is really slamming her *too bad* i'm not sweating anything though. I'm still going to mod my car lol.

woman just dont understand sometimes. I am trying to get my wife into cars she already knows what a sti is along with an msp, evo and supra she also knows the horse power of some of them as well as how to tell which years they are. shes a work in progress but she doesnt understand the speding large amounts of money on parts. she also thinks that if I spend like $800.00 on an exhaust that I am supposed to spend that same amount of money on something for her.

oh yeah for sure, we didnt exchange gifts this year b/c she had some surgery the friday before and has been for s*** ever since so we didnt really celebrate it, plus our first wedding anniversary and our 2nd wedding is in April in Europe, so Valentinies day isn't that big, she did help me buy the exhaust in full, otherwise i would have had to wait to make full payment and I would stuck waiting for my exhaust even longer than i did. we do pretty much 50/50 on everything, $ and responsibilities, i just use some of the chores i dont like to do as currency to play with my hobby more.

yeah my wife is getting into cars more and more, she can spot a nice modded car sometimes before me and she is getting really good with names and specs. now if i could just get her into some HALO 2.

I am trying to get my wife into a hobby so that she will stop giving me s*** about my hobby.

its funny cause i dont have to drive when we go out, she doesn't like the way my car rides or how i drive lol. Women are just picky sometimes. But we can't live without em'.

LOL good luck on that, 80% of women think videogames are for kids and are a waste of time. *my gf hates them lol*

actually most exhausts make more power(not a lot but like 1-5more hp) with the silencer than w/o the silencer. even on turboed cars.

so is any one going to get there car on a dyno to see the actuall HP gain since installing our new exhaust system.
