after i put in my TWM ss the heatshield was rattling on the resonator, so I took out the spacers and just cut a hemicirlce out for the ss to have room, works fine now, gets warm after you shut the car off, cools off while driving.Titanium-99 said:my only new clunk is My TWM SS hitting the heat sheild below wich it never did before but I will just cut some of the heat shield out our just put one or two washer's in to bring it down just a tad bit more.

no, i cut the ss, why would i want to mess up the heatshield that would void my warranty, so I chopped a little off the ss then welded it back together. now it fits in that space properly.dirtysouth_msp said:LOL. You cut the heatshield I hope.
that sounds good rob, i was wishing i had put washers on it, when i check all the bolts this weekend i might add washers then.dirtysouth_msp said:Well guys, I finally found out what size the nuts on the s-pipe are, 10 x 1.50. However, I was not able to find any that would work at any of local hardware stores. I could find the right inner diameter and thread, but all of them were like 17 or 18mm or just as big as the collar on the original nuts.
I ended up grinding mine down also with a Dremel. I also made some washers that work great. I used 3/8 (M10) Automotive Grade 8 washers from Pep Boys. I cut one side of them flat to allow clearance for the welds. The rest of the washer makes a larger contact surface for the grinded nuts and prevents them from slipping inside the slots on the j-pipe.
yeah when you open it up its loud and with the injen cai theres all kinda niose, really cool bouncing back along highway wallsAlexTheBum said:Have any of you guys go full throttle by a freeway wall, you can hear your exhuast better and your turbo too![]()

i know, i was just messing around, i thought it would be assumed that i would have cut the heat shield and not the ss, i know all about warranty issues. they try to screw you every chance they get.Titanium-99 said:You void your warranty by even having the ss and your exhaust or at least those parts that you replaced are voided it is against the law for a dealer or manufactuer to void your warranty. the only thing they can do is void the warranty parts that you have replaced with aftermarket parts. for example you replaced your exhaust so there for your warranty on your exhaust is voided.
