Fortunately, the damages are only on the clear coat, which should be fairly easy to repair. I am not upset if the car was scratched by accident, people keyed new car just heartless. I drove brand new Toyota, Honda but never got keyed, so it looks like Mazda CX-5 did get more attention than others cars in the same price range :)

WOW....I never worried about that with my CX-5, the Bimmer OTOH...

Sorry for your bad luck. Either way it's a personal violation.

Very sorry to see that. I also have a new CX-5 and am wondering when I will be seeing my first scratch , ding or dent. I wish you the best and hope that they take care of the issue quickly.

My wife plays bumper cars with her CX-5. It's had a ding or a scrape somewhere damn near since day 1. Lmao

I feel you, OP. I bought my wife's in March of 12, and by early June, it was already on the receiving end of a fairly significant hit and run. It was in autobody repair all of June. O.o

This is actually second damage. The first one caused by a door bump of other car when I parked in front of a busy restaurant on day 2. That left a two inches scratches, to the paint layer on the left passenger side door of my CX-5, I was not that upset since I do not think people intentionally did it.

If she puts mods on it I'd bet she'd be extra careful

I did worse damage to my new CX-5 trying to get the lawnmower back in the garage without moving the cars. I found a place that specialized in prepping cars for dealers and they buffed out the scratch for $50. I can't even see where it was in bright sunlight. Not my most expensive stupid mistake, but my most recent one.

You ought to be upset by the carelessness! It's every bit as bad.
(yes) I hate those people who open the door, hit the other car next to it hard, don't care a bit, and walk away like nothing happened! (notcool)

Ack, that sucks! :(

The only damage I've experienced on my CX-5 so far is a careless woman who bumped me from behind with her minivan while I was stopped. She wasn't paying attention and was naturally on her phone—there are remnants of her license plate bolts still left where she hit me, but thankfully the damage isn't bad or anything.

That sucks. If you don't have a Dual Action Polisher I suggest you get one, they come if very handy and are very easy to use. Harbor freight actually sells one that is quite good and appears to be from the same manufacturer as one of the more expensive brands. It's just re-branded. It the same as the Griots HD polisher. Harbor freight pads aren't half bad and they also sell the Mequiars M105/M205 polishes. Pick that stuff up and you should be able to greatly reduce those scratches if not completely remove them.

Thanks for the advices
