New Brakes? (:

Are you lookin for a big upgrade or just pads and rotors? You can do a full Mazda 6 brake swap. If not, I wouldn't trust eBay in this area personally. I'd buy some stoptech rotors or some solid brand and either stoptech or hawk pads, just my $0.02.

those look good, i dont really like that they just throw in brake pads, it makes me think all that stuff must really suck if theyre throwing parts in for free. But the feedback is good, theres also those ABT rotors on ebay that come with a 1 year warranty, however I dont think they include brake pads.

does anyone have part numbers for everything needed for the Mazda6 upgrade. End of thread jack.....
I got some ebay rotors back in the day and they lasted maybe 10,000 miles. Pieces of crap. Go name brand.

I have ordered rotors and pads off ebay for all of my cars and all i can say is DO IT! I recommend buying them from this seller though

It doesn't say it in the add but they are powerstop brand rotors and pads. Very good quality and a great price.
I had them on my Crown Victoria P71 and they are known for extremely bad brake life and lots of squeaks i threw these on and they were whisper quite and lasted well past 2 years with little wear. I never had any rust or corrosion issues and they looked great. Just my $.02 but i say do it!

ohkay thankyou so much everyone, ill read into alot more about these brands and such. Right now its either the ones from summit or the ones Graysurf linked.

brand name pads/rotors are always best imo. i dont think it's worth it putting your life or other people's lives at risk in order to save a few bucks on a questionable brand. you'll also be able to see a difference between the no name chinese stuff and the brand name stuff. brembo blanks and hawk pads are always a great choice

Centric Premium rotors are already painted and hold up well against rust. Got at Rock Auto. One was slightly warped and they wouldn't return it, so I found a Centric supplier locally and now purchase there.

Centric also has powder prepainted calipers, but they are pricy.

I clear coated front calipers w/ high temp clear coat. Just covered rubber and movable parts w/ AL foil and sprayed a few coats. Lasted pretty well through the winter.

As per Tweety, everything will rust terribly w/out coating. Rear calipers w/out paint rusted terribly in 2 weeks. Same w/ past rotors.

Have Posiquiet Ceramic pads in front. They are SUPERB, and hardly any dust. Will never go stock or other brand again.

First replacement set was Brembo C/S rotors with Hawk HPS pads. Got 75k miles out of them. Worked stellar and wore so evenly. The pads had like 1 mm of pad left and still weren't even making noise & the rotors were worn beyond turning at that point too. Best brake setup I've had on anything as far as how long they lasted and how evenly they wore and how ****** good they worked. The pads were same or bit more dusty than the oems tho. Just meant you had to wash car more often. I don't live anywhere that salts roads or has snow enought to be factor so no rust issues either. My current set of R1 C/S rotors with Lomandi kevlar/metallic pads has 20k on them and are good as new with less dusting than the Hawks. Same badass stopping power. The first setup was 200.00 and the current one about 170.00. Whichever setup you go with just do the one most important thing that will make them last and work best....bed them in properly. I would run either of the setups linked above. Some Goodridge ss brake lines will make a big difference in the pedal feel and eliminate pedal fade from oem rubber line expansion too. Very worth the price. Cheaper ss lines will just leak after 20k or so...I went thru a couple of sets of those before wising up way back in the day.
