Hi guys. I just got me a more/less decent 4 channel clarion amp (apa450 for those who know). I don't have many questions for now, just wanted to see wheather you guys think that it is ok to run 2 2-channel RCA cables side by side. Also when tapping an LOC into stock wiring, is the best way to connect it there to solder wires together and then shrink wrap them? Right now they are connected via cut wires and a butt connector with 2 wires coming out of one side and one wire coming out of the other (if that makes any scence) I'd like to make a better connection this time....

Thanks guys : )

Yes it's fine to run rca's next to eachother.

As far as connections, indeed solder/heatshrink is the best way to go, infact if your'e simply "T" ing into an existing wire that needn't be interrupted, you can just strip back the insulation around a section of that wire, then "pierce it with your connection wire, and wrap the remaining around and solder there... Thatsaid, there's nothing wrong with properly crimped butt connectors, just take up space and look funny.

Thanks for a speedy responce. I also used expensive gold plated butt connectors so i guess it might be ok afterall. Any opinions on the amp itself?

oh Ryan, who knows, man. hopefully over the spring break so in a week or so... We'll see.

I snapped some pics of the goodies i got recently. As some might know i already have a 2 channel autotech amp i got for free last summer wired in my car. I used the Knu Konseptz 8 gauge wiring kit for it. So now i got another RCA cable from them as well as some stinger terminals, to wire this amp properly. But i'll let the pics do the talking....

I know it's not the best stuff, but i think it's more than enough for the sound i am seaking
