Mazda to phase in Apple CarPlay and Android Auto

The point below may also apply to other countries in particular new models:

"....however the tech will be added progressively across the range.

This means that not every car will be sold with the smartphone mirroring, instead only gaining the feature as standard once a mid-life update or new generation is introduced locally."
 
Its going to be so nice to use compared to the stock system. Hopefully its soon we can buy the part and self install if they are dragging their ass on dealer installs
 
I know besides the 6 there isn't any ETA but I thought I'd ask anyways. Got this email from MazdaCustomerExperience:

The AA/ACP feature will be coming out next month starting with the 2018 Mazda6 with the rest of the models to follow. Mazda hasn't provided an ETA as to when these features will be launched for your 2017 CX-5.

I have provided two links for the latest updates on Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Please feel free to visit both links. Thank you for waiting patiently for Mazda to release this important feature. This would increase the safety feature as the Mazda Connect system will integrate the use of the Commander Knob to navigate through the features.

It seems to be a matter of when. This was a feature I asked about at the dealer. AA and car play are like the Bluetooth of the day. Even a chevy cruze has it.

"WHY DO SOME 2019 VEHICLES HAVE ANDROID AUTO/CARPLAY AND SOME DO NOT?


All Mazda vehicles will eventually have Android Auto/CarPlay availability, if they do not yet. Some vehicles came to market before Android Auto/CarPlay was available from the factory and will launch as factory-installed options at a later date. "
 
At least you guys can request the infotainment software upgrade. Here in Panama our Mazda dealers refuse to update the software....let alone upgrade to ACP when its available....
