Just purchased a CX-9 GT. I was looking for accessories today and most of the ones I was looking at like Roof Rack, and Weathertech all say up to 2012 on sites like amazon.

Been looking around and I cant find any major differences between the 2012 and 2013 for these areas.

Weathertech website doesn't give an option for the 2013 CX-9
https://www.amazon.com (commissions earned)

And most of the amazon roof rails packages say up to 2012 as well

Answered my own question regarding the Weathertech. Still looking for the Roof Rails.

Found them on CarID.com

Looks like the 2007-13 are all the same

Mazda CX-9 2007-2013, Tan Cargo Liner (41406) by WeatherTech. Providing complete cargo area protection, WeatherTech cargo liners are computer designed to fit your vehicle and have a raised lip to keep spills, dirt and grease off your vehicle's interior, protecting your carpeting from normal wear and tear.

Take a look at the discount pricing on OEM Accessories from MedCenter Mazda- LINK to PARTS Site

They are located in Birmingham, Alabama, but ship nationwide and orders over $100 get free shipping! I've dealt with them for over five years and they're a pleasure to do business with.

For the Roof Rack, you can choose the Side Rails only (for looks) or the Side Rails with Crossbars (if you plan to carry stuff up there)-

Roof Rack with Cross Bars- $408.79 (List Price- $524.90)

Roof Rack w/o Cross Bars- $319.15 (List Price- $368.95)

I ordered the Weather Tech mats instead of Mazdas All-Weather Mats, but I high recommend Mazdas Cargo Tray over Weather Techs Cargo Liner! The Weather Tech product covers the area behind the 2nd row (forcing you to remove it to utilize the 3rd row seats) or the area behind the 3rd row, leaving the 3rd row seatbacks unprotected when folded down for cargo carrying.

The Mazda Cargo Tray is three separate pieces- one covering the area behind the 3rd row, and a separate panel covering each of the 3rd row seatbacks that fold up/down with the seats. It also provides access to the very handy under-floor cargo compartment! It lists for $121.15 and costs $105.03 from MedCenter.

A few other Accessories that I added to my 2012 CX-9 GT that I highly recommend-

Front & Rear Splash Guards- FRONT REAR

Cargo Net- works great with Cargo Tray- LINK

Rear Bumper Guard- Stainless Steel- looks very sharp- LINK

Just curious- what color is your 2013 GT?

Changes for 2013 is not a FMC (full model change), it is the second MMC (mid model change), first one being the 2010.
A true FMC (w/ full SkyActiv) is like to come as a 2016 model (end of 2015).

I have the 2012 CX-9 GT in Crystal White Pearl with Sand interior. They added some nice features for 2013- the Backup Sensors and much-improved Navigation System in particular! They also changed the finish on the 20 wheels, theyre the same design as the 2011-2012, but they look even better. The 2013 also has the tilt-down-in-reverse side mirrors and the seats are perforated leather.

I looked at a 2013 and loved it, but the discounts on the 2012 models were so good at the time that I couldnt resist. I bought mine on the day after Thanksgiving for $29,207 plus sales tax and $66 tag/title/reg fees, which was $8178 off the sticker price of $37,385! They werent dealing on the 2013 models yet.

I just passed 5,000-miles and I absolutely love it! I traded-in a 2007 Ford Explorer Eddie Bauer V6 (the worst vehicle Ive ever owned) and the CX-9 is so much better in every way! Compared to the Explorer with a 210hp boat anchor V6, the CX-9 will flat-out FLY! =) Even with moor room and a lot more power, it still averages 3-4mpg better than Explorer ever did.

The most unexpected thing, at least for me, is the number of compliments I get on it! Ive had strangers at gas pumps or in parking lots ask me who makes it and how great it looks. I like the fact that there arent hundreds of thousands of them on the road, each one as generic looking as the others! =)

Youre gonna love it! I look forward to seeing your pics when you get it!!!

Have you heard any rumors regarding the powertrain they'll use in the next CX-9? The current 3.7L V6 is a Ford design (but built by Mazda in Japan), but now that Ford has sold their interest in Mazda, I wonder what will power the next CX-9? Is turbocharging a possibility with the 2.5L Skyactiv 4-cylinder, especially considering how high the compression ratio is already? It will be interesting to see how it plays out. Perhaps the next CX-9 engine could mean a new generation of the MAZDASPEED6? =)

One more thing I forgot to mention- even with the Sand interior, the carpeting is still Black. I debated about what color of WeatherTech mats would look best, but ultimately went with the Black ones. But the beige ones would probably looks just as nice.

Current rumors for engines of next CX9 include
1) turbo-2.5G (also for MazdaSpeed 6) making at least 280hp/280ft-lb
2) Diesel 2.2 (or even larger displacement) making at least 174hp/310ft-lb torque

Ya i didnt remember what the floor carpets were and had the tan ones in my cart. but then I switched it out to black last second. I think it will be better looking.

That rear bumper plate looks nice. How does that fit on? does it replace a stock piece? Since i dont have the car yet i cant go look :(

There rear bumper on all CX-9s has a black heavy-duty plastic guard built into the top of the rear bumper. The stainless steel bumper guard fits perfectly over that black plastic area and they include some sort of 3M adhesive that is like liquid cement or something! The key to installing it with no problems is to clean the black plastic area with a clean cloth and alcohol, it needs to be 60 degrees F or higher when you apply the adhesive AND you need a rubber roller or similar tool to make the adhesive spread evenly underneath the metal guard. I was skeptical at first that it was applied with just a type of glue, but it looks and feels like it was installed on the assembly line when the car was built!

The GT has chrome door handles and (I think) all models have the chrome trim piece above the rear tag. The extra 'bling' on the rear bumper adds even more to the look! I'll admit, it really stands out on the dark colored CX-9s (I first saw it installed on a Black 2012 GT at my dealer) but it also looks great on the Pearl White!
