I'm glad I'm one of the few men who actually gets to have the 9 as his daily driver. So much nicer than my old Montero Sport.

Me too!

I drive the CX-9 everyday and my 5'00" wife prefers her Ford Escape because of the size. When we go anywhere together the CX-9 is the one to do the duty. Escape is pretty much for her to commute back and forth to work and the ocassional small trailer towing to take the quad out for some dirt fun.

Lucky bastards! I'm about ready to deligate my wife back to her old car, which happens to be my "new" 110K mile ride (not really, just threats). I know she can't completely control it, but the fact that we have one door ding already and it has barely been 6 months is killing me! The blue color looks great when clean, but it sure shows the smallest of scratches and dings. Not horrible yet, but I could see it getting bad over time. Probably the last dark color vehicle I buy for a while.

Yeah, I love my Galaxy Gray (which Mazda has now laid to rest) finish on my CX-9. Mine has 63K miles and 3 years of use and the finish looks like new because it is so forgiving. Never looks really bad when dirty and looks awesome when clean!

lol. Our CX9 is also the wife's ride. But, no complaints from me... my DD is a turbo'ed miata : )

Sounds like my wife. She had to drive it once about two months after we got it and she ran the passenger side mirror into some plastic storage containers when pulling into the garage. Not happy about that one.

She got the last new car and curbed all the wheels in about a year, and it's now about 6 years old and is scratched to hell. It's black so it makes it look even worse.

I have the blue as well and I think it looks amazing when it's clean, but like any darker color it does tend to show a lot of little imperfections. So far the only things wrong with the paint were caused by flying rocks. Got a few surface chips on the hood and one nasty chip out of the rear quarter panel from a flying rock that came over a center divider on the freeway.
