Mazda CX-9 GT '08
Hey Guys, just picked up an 08 GT 9 Black Cherry about a week ago and so far I'm loving it. I been reading through the forum for a few days and decided to join in on the fun. I plan on doing a few upgrades and some minor fixes in the coming months. I never owned a Mazda before let alone an SUV so I'm still getting acquainted with the ride.

Welcome Kessler.

You have one of the premier editions of the 9, '08 GT

Thanks fellas...I'm happy with the purchase, got it for a great price..a lot of car for the money.

Welcome Kessler. The first thing you might want to look at is the bracket on the back of the intake manifold. It connects down to the rear cylinder head. On some 08 models, it accidentally got deleted from the build list. It was missing on mine, and greatly reduces low rpm rattling and vibration. I posted a DIY on it. Have fun!

thanks, I'll look into it...I have noticed some grinding sound while coming out of a parking space. I know it's not the infamous low rpm vibration I been reading about but it's something that happens every time I parallel park or I'm coming out of a space. It happens when I turn the wheel all the way to lock position either direction.

Congrats on the 08 CX-9 purchase. I too purchased one in 2010 with about 24k on it. Mine is black cherry also and now I have about 104k on it. This car has been very good to me. The only issues i have had with it was the rear wheel bearing and a sensor issue about 2 years ago. Other than that, no problems what so ever..
