new '06 owner

Hi, I just got a '06 Grand Touring and it is a great car. I was looking at the door's and it looks like it might have door pockets. Is there a hack for this or can the dealer put one in? Also is there a computer for the car that tells you things like avg mpg, avg speed, miles to empty,...? and of course 1 last newbie question I have the keyless entry option so where do you keep the card? It is a little thick for the wallet, will I break it if I put it in my pocket?

Explain on door pockets.

I don't know about the computer.

I don't remember the card being thick, but if it's what I'm thinking of, putting it in your pocket won't be a good idea just because it doesn't look "safe." Hah, if it were me and I put it in my pocket, I'd make sure before I sat down I'd take it out.

driver info center - no there isnt one on the MX-5

Advanced keyless - I keep them in my pocket all the time. just dont SIT on it. Also if you want to keep it looking fresh, put it in the pocket you use less often (I dont put anything usually in my left pocket, except maybe my phone). Other than that, its up to you where you put it, it just needs to be on you in some fashion.

I have on another car the arm rest portion folds up and underneath there is a pocket, but after looking at the door arm rest it really is not wide enough to do that. This is a great place to store stuff.

Good call! I've had my 06 GT since August and have been loving every minute of it. Even went cruising with the top down today. What color did you get? And did it include any premium packages?

As far as the keyless entry system goes, I find the very best thing to do is keep it in your FRONT pocket while driving or getting out. Then just stand next to the door for a second and depress the small black button the handle to lock it, and do the same for unlocking it. Then you never have to take the key out of your pocket all day.

You can also just leave it anywhere in the cabin (the center cupholders aren't a bad idea, but just don't forget about it when you get out!
