I tried the paint your own headlight thing, and I just simply couldnt do it. i followed the instructions to a "T", and everything went well up until the oven. I still followed the directions, but only had the headlight assembly in the oven for about 3 minutes before pieces of the headlight began to melt...fortunately, everything that melted shouldnt affect the way it installs back into the car, but it did melt a flat portion into the upper part of the headlight itself, which you shouldnt be able to see when the hood is shut. so i hurried up and took it out of the oven, and then i was like well i already went this far, might as well try to take it apart since nothing major was ****** up, and my wife and i both couldnt pry it apart with knives, screwdrivers, and our hands. in the how-to, it seems like it should come right apart, and although the glue was pretty soft (as it was sticking to the screwdriver), that b**** wasnt seperating...but i was not about to put it in the oven longer to see if i could melt the glue further...if anyone really gives a s*** about my **** up, ill take some pictures of the damaged areas for you to see...im not saying dont do this mod, but i am saying that whoever wrote the how-to obviously didnt have as much glue or as strong of glue as i seemed to have...ahhh im pissed, now i gotta wake up early and put my bumper back on...
