Still might be to far ahead for them to make an accurate call on the weather.....lets hope for the best

Oh nice...looks like it's changing. Saturday is now partly cloudy, where it said rain before. Hope this extends into Sunday, which says "Chance of showers" so we might be good!

tell everyone on the west coast to put all their fans facing east on saturday, and blow really hard just to make sure it goes by faster =)

This weekend I decided to take a full run down the Service Rd. since it starts just up the street from my house. Actually, it's the first time I ever drove the emtire length of it. Here's my synopsis. There are a total of 3 stop signs. Each about 2-4 miles apart. There are only a couple of twisty parts and that's right before each stop (doh!). On the plus side this is great for a high speed run up and over long hills. I got up to 80 on a few. (shhhhh)

So, I was thinking that if it's nice I could setup ahead of everyone and film a high speed drive by of everyone. Thoughts?

Sounds like a good idea. If you get there early you can just direct people on where to park when they pull in. I know motivating people to move their cars after they have arrived never seems to work out.

Bruce, I can meet you at exit 14 if that isn't out of your way. I'll see if I can find an easy spot to meet at.

so what time do you guys plan on getting to exit 14, mike and i will meet you there.........

Ok. Sorry I forgot I was supposed to be figuring things out.

MEET LOCATION 1:

Where: Exit 14 off I495 (Route 1 SOUTH). Target Parking Lot
When: Convoy departs at 8:00AM so be there 10-15 minutes before that.
Directions: Take I495 to Exit 14, route 1 south. Merge onto route 1 south. Bear right onto Taunton St. connector before first traffic light. No turns are allowed at the light unless you want to make an illegal right because you missed it. Turn right onto Taunton St. and take an immediate right into Target/HomeGoods/Pinera/whoknows parking lot. The complex is brand new and won't show up on Google Maps. I will get there early and park in an easy to find spot. We depart at 8:00AM so be there or be square. (hmm, that sounded way cooler when I was in 3rd grade). See attached map for details.

MEET LOCATION 2:
Where: Rest area after Exit 4 (Route 105) on I495 South.
When: Convoy departs at 8:30AM or when convoy from meet location 1 arrives (which ever is later). We'll wait 10 minutes if someone is not there yet.
Directions: Take I495 South past exit 4. Bear right into rest area.

FINAL MEET LOCATION:
Where: Restarea/scenic view on Route 6 over looking the canal.
When: 9:00AM
Directions: Follow Route I495 South to the end. I495 becomes Route 25. Follow to last exit before the Bourne Bridge. Follow signs for Route 6 and the Sagamore bridge. You will go 3/4 the way around a rotory, underneath the Bourne bridge and then you will be along the canal. The rest area is at the bottom of the hill on the right hand side directly across from a traffic light.

TIP 1: Stay out of the middle lane on I495 between exits 17-14. The passing lane is the smoothest.

TIP 2: If you accidentally go over the Bourne bridge, have no fear, there is a rotory on the other side. Go around the rotory, over the bridge, and get off at the first exit and follow signs for Route 6.

Map 1: Meet location 1
Map 2: Meet location 2
Map 3: Final meet location
