NEPOC MEET: Fall Foliage Fun Run NH/VT - ALREADY FRIGGIN HAPPENED!!!

oleg we never wound up doing our run due to rain and were planning it for this coming weekend but I think we should just do it with the rx8s since its only a week off and we seem to have a max of like 4 cars interested in our lil run. The more cars the merrier and if someone else is organizing it that works too so im game for just tagging along on theirs.

Tsunami? anyone? your thoughts?

are your guys comming up as far as burlington VT or if someone in that area or more north is comming down for the meet at wants to pick me up at UVM that would be cool. just post with any info, thanks

Hey Slug, I say let's join in with the 8's (I'm going anyway :) ). There will also be 3 350Zs and some random other cars (all from enthusiastic owners, though!)

I'll post here when the RX8 guy posts the details...

I live in Mass and I just bought a 2003 black mazdaspeed. looking to see who is out there in my area, and if you need an extra car for your run . I'm a former honda owner, who has crossed over http://www.autosportz.com/featured_sport_compact_car_96_honda_accord.htm

Let me know about your run.
Jason

Hey Jason, welcome and congrats on a sweet purchase! As I said, watch this space for details of the run to come down (most likely Nov 5th right now).

dunno, oleg will keep us posted on where we have to meet in MA or NH or ME and we will decide where to meet and when to leave when we know that

sounds good... as it was looking like yet more rain for this weekend... i will see were zoomvt is at absolutsweet as he is in burlington and may come down for this....

Question for you NEPOC members

Do you guys have a common decal on your cars? Or a NEPOC logo? MY sister owns a company that does boat lettering, auto lettering, real estate signs, and so on. I didn't know if you guys didn't already have a small decal, like for a side rear window or something. When I was a honda member we had some things like that. It would be easy enough for me to do for you guys, for pretty much no cost. Let me know if you do already, or what you think about the idea.
Jason

Oh yeah one more random question. How can you find out what number built your msp is?

Alright sports car fans, here is the scoop on the run.
We will meet in Lincoln NH. at the McDonalds at exit 32 north bound, which is also route 112. 9am meeting time to go over the route, pass out maps, and get to know eachother. We will start out on our drive at approx 10am. From there we will go over the kancamagus highway into N.Conway. From there we will make a brief run into Fryeburg Me, through Evans Notch, and back into New Hampshire. We'll take Route 2 into Lancaster NH, and stop for some grub, and to fill up. At this point we will start the second half of the run. This is pretty much the same trip we took last year, with a twist. we will start to work our way back south in New Hampshire. I am still working on the second half of the run, and will be posting that in the next couple of days.
In the event that someone is running late for the AM meeting, please give me a call on my cell at 603-252-6176 so that we can delay the start of the run.
McDonalds parking lot is large enough to handle all of our cars. as you pull into the lot, drive in to the right..........

that sucks for me, i have to drive the k. highway to meet up with everyone then drive it back...do'h maybe i will take friday off of work and get a hotel....

rofl....4.5 hours just to get to lincoln.....

all i can say is the weather better be nice. ima need a hotel room i think....crap.

who is interested in splitting a place to stay for Fri/Sat night?

We are in "fall savings" period right now it looks like.

according to this site:
http://www.discountedcondominiumrentals.com/Rates.htm
we could get a 2 level, 2 balcony, 3 bedroom condo that sleeps 9-10 (i have no idea where they can sleep that many in a 3BR) for 159 a night.

about 300 for 2 nights, if we get 6 people then we are looking at 50 bucks per person and no one has to drive in the morning before or the evening after the fun run.

All sounds terrific but the 10 day for lincoln says snow showers on friday so this whole thing could be a bust :)
