My youngest daughter will be arriving early this am for a week visit. My oldest daughter will be arriving on Weds.

Bruce, how are you liking the Contis for autocross? Any words of wisdom from one Miata guy to another? I'm about to run my first event with mine this coming Sunday.

autox yesterday was so great. really tight windy course which was perfect miata territory. Foolishly I put myself in regular STS when i should be in rookie sts or even e-stock, but still had a super fun time. more learning to do and I know ill increase times significantly as soon as I get the new tires/wheels on

i thought they were ok for autox, mike ran them on a track day and they didn't hold up as well. i mean they're not going to be a sticky as a high perfromance tire will be, but for a tire that you can drive back and forth to the autox on they work..

cool...where did you autox?

That's kinda what I figured. Ideally, i was going to run my Falkens for the event, but after I took them off and started driving on the gold wheels, I had less desire to put the bent wheels back on. All the things I hate about the car are getting fixed and I'm beginning to like it again.

They are ok. Great in the rain, but not the best for dry. Sidewalls are soft so there is a bit of hesitation on the initial turn in. I liked the Star specs better.

Hi....

Bye.....

wow, come back when you can stay a bit longer!

morning, after having this really odd issue with the car idling erratically on start (cool morning starts) i started tugging on some hoses this am and foun one of the hose clamps had backed off the by pass valve and there was my leak...tightened her up and all is good in mazda miata land once again!

Morning. Have to love those quick and easy fixes Mark!

Bruce, enjoy your visitors!!! :)

Got the rear brakes finished last night. What a PITA.....thought calipers were seized so bolted everything up Sat. night to wait for a friend to stop by last night to help with bleeding. Bought two reman. calipers yesterday and when we mounted everything up the front pad wouldn't clear the rotor, we tweaked it to fit but then the backside of the rotor would rub on the bracket...trip back to AZ to confirm part #s and double check that I had the right pads/rotors, check, check and check...got back home and we played around with the old calipers and found they were not seized (oops!) so bolted them up and eveyrthing fit just fine....bled both sides and she's back on the road and I have $255 back in my pocket! :D
