i cannot wait to get my new bike out on the trails. in the past ive ridden bikes that were just overkill for the area. pedaling around a freeride bike is not the most fun
Well an All Mountain for the local trails is a bit overkill, but I couldn't believe how effortless it was to climb with. I just sat down and pedaled like I was on flat ground and it just dug in at twice the speed of my hard tail. I don't need all the bells and whistles of his bike (hydraulic brakes, spring loaded seat post, etc) but I'm definitely going to be riding something with that much travel by next time this year. It had huge 2.4 tires too...which I thought would feel heavy but the whole package was surprisingly light.

Rode my bike for the 1st time this year. Unbelivable weather. Had to turn on the AC in the car in the afternoon.

Morning All.

Motorhome is shipping April 19th. Been going thru the house and starting to getting rid of stuff.

whoa!!! where did you see that mahk? I thought it was supposed to wear scion badging in the US

Take a closer look at the pics.

* It's right-hand drive
* The license plate on the Prius does not look American
* I've never seen the van to the right of the Prius
* There is snow on the ground

Still it would be a shame to have it re-badged as a Scion when it comes Stateside.

Ehh, I'd rather be seen in a Scion than a Toyota. Do you really want to be lumped in with the Prius and Camry owners?

"true" dat bruce! morning, back to more house repairs today...repairing some siding, replacing a porch post, some trim...getting ready for some stain and paint!

Had some fun virtual spec-Miata racing last night. The organizer set up a handicapping system and by this race I was about 8hp below the drivers. Cars were completely stock otherwise. It may not seem like much but it's the difference between making a pass on the straight or just keeping up in the draft. I got lucky on the first lap and was able to slingshot past most of the field when they got bogged down by a rookie driver that hit the brakes before the uphill. On the last lap I pulled off a risky braking move to get the lead and held it till the end. I wish I had the talent to do that IRL!

Sunday July 8th is also the Bay State Classic Auto Show at the Endicott Estate in Dedham. I was thinking about going to that. Maybe I can meet up with you miata guys afterward.
