Well an All Mountain for the local trails is a bit overkill, but I couldn't believe how effortless it was to climb with. I just sat down and pedaled like I was on flat ground and it just dug in at twice the speed of my hard tail. I don't need all the bells and whistles of his bike (hydraulic brakes, spring loaded seat post, etc) but I'm definitely going to be riding something with that much travel by next time this year. It had huge 2.4 tires too...which I thought would feel heavy but the whole package was surprisingly light.i cannot wait to get my new bike out on the trails. in the past ive ridden bikes that were just overkill for the area. pedaling around a freeride bike is not the most fun
